Just over 7 years ago, I decided to start making silly cat videos and share them with the internet. I'll be turning 20 soon and there is not a single fiber of my being that regrets that decision. I know i still have a long ways to go, but you can't deny that I'm a long way from where I've started.

There's been a recent attitude surrounding the animation community lately that your old art is something to be ashamed of. that if you're still learning your art is 'cringey'. Frankly, I'm sickened by this. Nobody starts off an amazing artist. It takes lots of hard work and practice and by shaming those who are learning you are hindering that process.

Please don't be ashamed of your older art. Don't delete it, don't hide it. Instead of looking back and feeling ashamed, draw pride from your growth. your old art is living proof that you are only getting better and better every day.
