Kickstarter founder worked incredibly hard for 7 years but did everything EXCEPT what mattered: build product, get it in customer hands, learn, iterate. Instead: years of research, travel to meet coffee producers, trade shows, national lab visits, recycling facility tours. Knew everything about sourcing before manufacturing single unit.
Successful founders: Build basic version, get it to customers, learn what actually matters, iterate. Struggling founders: detailed plans slowly, never execute. Difference isn't intelligence — it's velocity.
The main thing: Build product, get it to customers. Everything else (certifications, perfect plans, beautiful farms, sophisticated systems) is secondary. Cannot optimize what doesn't exist.
This week: Audit your time. Does this task directly generate revenue? Yes or no. If the ratio is worse than 50-50, you found your problem. World rewards execution, not preparation.
