This workflow is based on my own experience building profitable SaaS products.
One of my biggest mistakes was spending months building polished features before validating whether anyone actually wanted them. I focused on making the product technically impressive, but I forgot to answer the most important question:
**Will people pay for this?**
That mistake cost me a lot of time and money.
Eventually, I changed my approach, and it completely transformed how I build software.
Now my workflow looks like this:
1. **Research** – Find real problems people are actively trying to solve.
2. **Build an MVP** – Ship the smallest version that delivers the core value.
3. **Closed Launch** – Invite a small group of early users, collect feedback, and improve quickly.
4. **Public Launch** – Scale only after people are already getting value and willing to pay.
The goal isn't to build more features.
The goal is to build something people can't wait to use—and happily pay for.
If you're building a SaaS startup in 2026, remember this:
**Validation first. Features second.**
That's the lesson I wish someone had taught me before writing thousands of lines of code.
