Route 66 from Winslow to the Grand Canyon with our Casita Eric & Jens Excellent Eggventure 2026-09-20 | We started the morning in Winslow and headed West. First stop was Meteor Crater. From there we got see the Cundiff Trading Post ruins and what's left of Twin Arrows. We spent the afternoon exploring Flagstaff Az. We made a detour from Route 66 and headed North towards the Grand Canyon. We stopped to check out the Raptor Ranch which has lots of of Flintstone buildings from the property's former life. Our home for the next few days was BLM land just outside of the Grand Canyon. Keep an eye out for a Grand Canyon video in the future! We came across a bunch of Native American Trading Posts. We stopped at what is left of Ft. Courage, and drove through a Wigwam Motel. Bought some souvenirs at the famous Jack Rabbit Trading Post. Finally finished up by Standing on the Corner in Winslow AZ. The Elks lodge was our home for the night, where we met some great people including the Mayor and her husband! Route 66 May 12 Santa Fe to Gallup, NM Eric & Jens Excellent Eggventure 2026-08-30 | #Thiscasita stretch of Route 66 we said goodbye to Santa Fe and headed to Albuquerque New Mexico. We saw another muffler man, and old motels. We stopped into Route 66 Fine Line Tattoo and got some tattoos done by Q. He did an amazing job! We stopped by the Enchanted Trails RV Park and Trading Post to see some really cool vintage RV's! Passed through Grants, NM and some amazing countryside. We made it to the Continental Divide, which is where the rain heads East or West depending on which side of the Divide you're on. We ended our day at the famous El Rancho Hotel. Route 66 from Shamrock Texas to Amarillo, and and finally Tucumcari New Mexico Eric & Jens Excellent Eggventure 2026-08-09 | We said goodbye to the Lone Mound Ranch in Shamrock Texas and headed west on Route 66. Our first stop was the Devil's Rope Museum. We saw the Leaning Tower of Texas and made a pitstop at Buc-cees. We did another RV Overnights at the Route 66 Visitor Center in Amarillo. We spent two nights hear so that we could also do Palo Duro Canyon State Park. keep an eye out for that future video. We explored the historic 6th street area and saw many murals and great local shops! We then headed to Slug Bug Ranch to add our marks with some spray paint! We worked up an appetite and headed to the Big Texan for some steaks and drinks! After a couple of nights in Amarillo we hit the road again, first stopping at the Cadillac Ranch for some more spray paint fun. After that we made it to the Mid Point of our Route 66 trip! We saw the abandoned town of Glen Rio, and made it into New Mexico! We stopped at the worlds largest Flip Flop, and finally to historic Tucumcari. Route 66 from OKC to Shamrock Texas Eric & Jens Excellent Eggventure 2026-08-02 | In this video we drove Route 66 from OKC to Shamrock, Texas! We got to see the birthplace of the Oklahoma Onion Burger, historic bridges, Lucille's Filling Station, and the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum, We then we crossed into Texas and saw the amazing Conoco Tower Station & U-Drop Inn Cafe. We did an RV Overnight at the Lone Mound Ranch in Shamrock, and camped in a pasture with cattle and horses. Route 66 Tulsa to Oklahoma City Eric & Jens Excellent Eggventure 2026-07-26 | We started at the Golden Driller Giant in Tulsa, then headed West to see multiple Giants! We stopped into Ike's Chili for a personal tour, and a fantastic bowl of chili! Lot's of great shops and sites in this area. Then we did the musical highway right by the Cyrus Avery Centennial Plaza. There we met a great couple that were from Ireland! And of course we passed by plenty of service stations, murals, motels, drive-ins and more. Got to drive some of the original old road in Arcadia OK. We visited the amazing Arcadia Round Barn and ran into our new friends from Switzerland again. Stopped into Pop's to find some interesting flavors of soda, before heading to our RV Overnight spot at Anthem Brewing in OKC. Amazing Experience to see the train up close. Unfortunately, hundreds, possibly thousands of people were turned away due to the fact it was just so crowded. We saw the old Castle Car Wash and made it To McCook for a picture in front of the sign. Made a stop in Joliet and meet a group of women that had started the route in California. In Wilmington we saw our first Giant a.k.a muffler man the Gemini Giant. And of course lots of mural, old service stations, and restaurants. Jefferson Lake State Park /Steubenville 12 25 Eric & Jens Excellent Eggventure 2025-12-29 | We camped at Jefferson Lake State Park for the first time. While there we visited the town of Steubenville so we could see the life sized nutcrackers. They have over 200 all over town. We also stopped into historic Fort Steuben which is part of the Lewis and Clark Trail. We had a great time hanging out with our friends Chuck and Cherie from En Route With Chuck and Cherie.
