Taos Winds Chakra 2026… Welcome to the future… 2026. From my new album/series project, this is; 7 Crown Chakra, also known as the Sahasrara Chakra, 6-minutes of sound layers created to bring you into tune, balance, spiritual connection, higher awareness, divine presence, inner stillness, and unity of consciousness.
The Crown Chakra, or Sahasrara Chakra, is the luminous gateway of higher consciousness, the sacred center where spirit, wisdom, surrender, and divine connection open into stillness. When this center is open, its energy does not reach or grasp; it receives, expands, and becomes one with the light above.
In its awakened state, the Crown becomes a violet field of living awareness, where silence, spirit, and universal light meet in the same sacred breath. Your Crown Chakra is the halo of your energy being. And because the universe is alive with vibration, connection is not something separate from creation; it is one of the ways creation remembers itself. In that sacred understanding, the open Crown becomes a channel through which peace, grace, higher wisdom, and spiritual unity begin to flow.
Balance here brings a spacious serenity that feels clear, radiant, and infinite, like starlight over the high desert beneath an endless sky. Awareness becomes less bound by the noise of the mind and more guided by the quiet presence of spirit. Stillness finds its rhythm. The soul grows open enough to receive. The Crown opens the passageway, allowing separation to soften and unity to rise through the quiet intelligence of higher consciousness.
Most of all, a harmonized Crown Chakra restores the natural rhythm of spiritual connection and inner peace. It reconnects you to the still point above and within, the awareness beyond every thought, and the quiet knowing that you are not separate from the sacred flow of life. When the Crown is open and balanced, the entire system becomes more peaceful, receptive, inspired, spiritually aligned, expansive, and ready to rest in consciousness that reaches beyond the self and into unity.
…A bit of backstory on this project: “Taos Winds Chakra 2026”…
In the 1980s, my first Chakra album came into being. It was a gift for a friend who was doing healing work with stones and sound. He thought the music I was doing at the time would fit very well into his healing routines, so I put together an album with frequency soundscapes at the core of it all.
But, it wasn’t until 2000 that I was able to take it to the next level, and create what many of you are familiar with, “Taos Winds Chakra.” I bought a Korg Triton Pro Workstation to have as the center of my studio, a very cutting-edge synth at the time, and I do still use it to this day. It took my sound and frequency work to the next level. I released the album Chakra anywhere I could at the time, and it did well.
But, in 2010, I was walking by my CD rack one evening, and Taos Winds Chakra jumped out at me. I pulled it from the rack and popped it into the CD player. Within minutes my thoughts went to YouTube. I had a channel already, had it since 2006 at the very beginning of YouTube, but never really did anything with it, just random projects… As I listened to the original Chakra album, I knew I had to share it with a larger audience. I immediately set out to create visuals for each Chakra soundscape/music. I dug deep into my toolbox, and created the first series of moving Chakra colored cloudscapes using fractals in Adobe After Effects. Synced the soundscapes and cloudscapes, and let them fly out into the world… It worked, that album is at the very foundation of Taos Winds Spirit Music.
Years later, 1001 videos later (as of this video), I return to the foundation, but, with the 2026 version, “Taos Winds Chakra 2026.” The future in which we have arrived…
It is all new music/soundscapes and visuals, no reproduction of the original in any way, it is Chakra 2026. I do return to the roots of its unique sounds though, The Korg Triton. I still use the Triton on a fairly regular basis, but with this project, I have decided to honor the original album, I will use only the Triton sounds, as it was with Chakra 2000.
