In an interview several months ago, CDPR developers said that the Cyberpunk 2077 map would be slightly smaller than the one of The Witcher 3. Now, almost an year later I revisit this claim with some brand new evidence gathered on the latest gameplay trailer. Wanna see how big Night city actually is? So come with me and let’s find out.
Two days ago, CD Projekt red released a trailer showcasing the photo mode feature. What they probably didn’t notice is that the trailer had some hidden information that was key to making this video.
The camera hud, on the top side of the screen, had the coordinate position of the camera. And gathering data from multiple cameras, I was able to create an accurate estimate of the map scale.
Although this estimate is very accurate, it is still just an estimate. Once the game is launched I will be redoing all this work and will upload a new video.
The night city map is huge, specially when compared with The Witcher 3 and GTA V
