Many, of them never didn't come home. This isn't about war. It's less more than what ordinary people have to endure when caught up they are at war. What is Lancaster and why create its art installation in the cockpit area? The Avro Lancaster is the most famous British four-engine heavy bomber that fought against World War II's enemy through a relentless night bombing campaign. Heavy casualties among civilians on the ground and among aircraft crews this is a controversial chapter in our collective history. The five crew members flew, fought, and sometimes died together in this limited part of the plane. They had to spend hours focus on the missions without interruption, constantly danger, in this claustrophobic and uncomfortable place space filled with equipment. Please take a moment to imagine what it must have been like to fly at high altitude at night 20,000 feet, at a speed of 400 km/h, at a temperature of -20°C in constant danger. This full-size version of the Lancaster is intended to give you an idea of their experience to the visitors. An album of experiences Souvenirs: letters, press articles, certificates, there are medals, photos, and extracts from flight logs pasted onto the outside of Lancaster, transforming this installation into an album of their experiences. They are arriving individual stories of the plane crew come to the foreground. Some numbers The cockpit section is 6 feet wide, 18 feet long and 11 feet high height. Construction took 3,600 hours over 11 months. 85% of them come from the recovery and reuse of cardboard packaging, which is a nod to the "make and mend" spirit of the war years. Why cardboard? Choosing cardboard – a delicate, disposable, ordinary material to create this one work highlights the expendable nature of life during the war. work highlights the expendable nature of life during the war. Two life-size cardboard crew members, kept in a deliberately raw, unfinished style, visually brings to mind the "disappearing generation" in a similar style Lancaster is also portrayed as a "disappearing story".RAF Ingham, Official Opening 17.04.2024, Polish Bomber Squadrons Centre.Gregos Jez2024-04-26 | Geoff Burton and a team of volunteers took on the challenge of restoring a section of RAF Ingham airfield DN21, 5BU Lincolnshire, a former base for the Polish bomber unit during World War II. I met this car during the last holiday while I was out of town. And this is a truly unique model. It seems to me that this is one of the first models of the AC factory that later produced the famous Cobras in the early 1960s. First, they produced normal passenger cars like the one shown in the picture with an aluminium body. This model comes from 1952. And it even looks good. The owner told me it was his grandfather's inheritance. It was broken and had been in the garage since his grandfather's death, and everyone forgot about it, there were no people eager to repair it. It was only when Covid Lokdawn, his grandson who is in the picture (65 years old) came, that he decided to do something with it. And he repaired it and the car was allowed to run. But it still takes a lot of time and money for the vehicle to return to its former glory. The great-grandson at the departure said that the car will stay in the family and it should be so.Youll love this song, Miss Marina Mae Crich 2022Gregos Jez2022-04-24 | Miss Marina Mae, Crich village World war 2 home front with re-enactors, music and dance from 1940. Its effect on the British market was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the US, replacing most other British economy cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s.[1] It was also licensed and copied by companies all over the world.[2] The first BMW car, the BMW Dixi, was a licensed Austin 7. In France they were made and sold as Rosengarts, and in the United States they were built by the American Austin Car Company.
