The link to the first video is here: youtu.be/-H9fILaJewQ (Blind Playthrough Reactions)
Creating a sequel to an untouched property over 25 years old can cause concerns. For me, those concerns were confirmed, as Beyond A Steel Sky is not confident enough to be a sequel, and is not able to be a remake of the original either.
#beyondasteelsky #reviewBeyond A Steel Sky: First Playthrough Live Reactions (Spoilers)Orylen2020-08-18 | Beyond A Steel Sky was my anticipated game of 2020. What could a 3D sequel to 1994's Beneath A Steel Sky look like? Will it be good? This is my blind playthrough of the game, editing it down, going through the whole game. There will be spoilers if you are interested in the story.

I have a short list of video topics that I want to tackle, so let's start with talking about this piece of Kingdom Hearts fandom history that I ate up all the way back in 2006. Is it any good still?
Don't even get me started on the barely mentioned characterization of Max and Lilah being overworked workaholics who just wanted a vacation after working untold hours, and what that was doing to them. These are my final thoughts on Obsidian, and why it is a fantastic game that deserved all the praise it received. Even after all this time, I'm glad it was able to even exist. Thank you for letting me know about this game years ago, and thank you now for letting me know about other games that I can explore and enjoy. Support the current development of Morpheus returning for modern systems. It is outstanding the work that has gone on, and I am excited to dive into it on my own time.

Obsidian comes to a close. This has been a fantastic ride through one of the strongest adventure games I've now played.Hope you enjoyed this adventure through dreams, psychology, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence.

They put A LOT of time into the phone puzzle as well, as you can (potentially) call everyone in the Bureau Realm. I'm pretty sure I'm missing a few, especially since I could not call anyone on the Nexus Face, and I would have loved to call the Rebel.
Hope you enjoyed these extra videos! A lot of creative effort and planning went into this realm of the game, and is very different from the rest of the game.

There was going to be a fountain with the basement beneath it, "which was greasy and filled with belching pipes". The puzzle was going to be much larger, with the sun and moon and Earth in different rooms. Ultimately, it was decided less is more. I have a picture of an early sketch of what it would have looked like on my Facebook and Twitter.
This might have hit too close to home for me. Really, a lot of the atmosphere surrounding the Bureau Realm gets under my skin sometimes because it can translate to real life circumstances. Let's fix that feeling, and do some networking.
Extra note: In the strategy guide, it gives you a solution for the celestial puzzle that does not actually work!

#hacking10 Year Anniversary: Reading My Favourite CommentOrylen2019-12-06 | I've had this comment sitting around for too long, so I decided to read it all, and dig a little into it.
This is part of my 10 year anniversary reflection. Head back to the main video here:
10 years is a long time to do anything. For me, it shows dedication to something, whether it be a job, hobby or other commitment. I am so proud to have done so many different things with this channel, each having their own successes, no matter how small. I started this channel for a selfish reason, but it has also helped me become a better speaker, and more confident in contributing my own voice to different, and I look forward to continuing into the next decade. This channel may be small, but it allows me to appreciate and really see the specific people who engage with what I share. Thank you for being here.

I will always respect what it attempts to do so much, but those attempts also damage its overall structure. There are two big things that I always think about: 1. Who is this game REALLY for? I don't know who the audience for this game is (it should not be for me, but it turned out that way). It could be kids who frequent Neopets a lot, or a tween audience who want a serious game that isn't for kids. 2. The absence of difficulty. This connects to the audience problem. You are given so many items to manage your health, magic, and other stats, that you can be almost indestructible. I failed to take advantage of a lot of different potions because they were not necessary for aiding my victories in the game. I made reference to the phrase "Cartoon Dark Souls" to describe this game, but that is really only when you ignore so many resources that are almost in your way when completing the game. With the dilemma of catering to multiple audiences, being kids and younger adults, the difficulty and challenge that the game wants to show gets shot in the foot. I have tried to ignore upgrades as much as possible in the past, which leads to a more difficult experience, but also a more time consuming process defeating enemies, which is a shame. Possibly in the future, I'll see if a balanced, challenging run of this game can be achieved. For now, I'll lay this game to rest.
To say again about the postmaster quest line, it does not feel finished when it only "sometimes" appears, and after the first delivery, you never see him again. I have never encountered a second delivery quest from there, which makes me feel that the developers could not justify why it was there in the first place. Act IV is linear enough, with no sidequests, and you have enough resources and items that you should be fine. And yet, it still found a way in.
