A CubeSat needs to phase its orbit, dodge debris, hold formation and de-orbit responsibly; but rarely has room for the toxic fuels, bulky tanks and pressurization systems that propulsion traditionally demands.
Meet Sharanga, a propulsion system for maneuvering CubeSats upto 50Kg in LEO, which was built for exactly that constraint under iDEX - DIO
With milli-newton precision, non-toxic HTP propellant and a self-pressurizing design that simplifies the whole satellite integration, was also recently vibration and shock tested at IN-SPACe facility in Ahmedabad.
Small satellites deserve serious propulsion thar solves bigger problems in space.

Manastu Space is proud to be part of this journey, developing green propulsion systems that align with the sustainable and innovative goals of both nations.
At the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit, New Delhi - PM Narendra Modi held our story in his hands, quite literally. We couldn't have been more proud to his humility and our utmost gratitude, as he even kept it with him.
Our tribute and gratitude to the beautiful nation of Japan that trusted Indian deep-tech when it was still just a dream on paper.
Standing in the grand presence of Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi and Prime Minster Narendra Modi, they reviewed what we have built since; green propulsion systems, flight-proven in orbit, delivered to Indian Defence and now jointly advancing with Takasago Fluidic Systems to develop advanced technologies and components for next-generation green spacecraft propulsion systems.
Such moments prove that the dreams that you see with open eyes and build with a courageous heart, holding an unshakable belief, a purposeful vision and honest collaborations, always reciprocate beyond one's imagination.
From IIT Bombay's labs to getting acknowledged by nation builders, a student project to a bilateral deep-tech collaboration; this is the stuff that legends are made of!
Japan gave us our first spark and support in form of S-Booster 2019 and motherland India continues to give us our wings. People's champion PM Modi gives us our purpose, to build a space-tech strong Bharat, leading the world not just in reach, but in responsibility.
This is in true sense what propelling safe-space for all mankind looks like.

#ManastuSpace #SpaceTech #Entrepreneurship #IITBombay #DeepTech #StartupIndia #Motivation #SpaceInnovation #IndiaInSpacePower of asking Why not: How Manastu Space is Disrupting Satellite Propulsion | CEO Tushar JadhavManastu Space2026-05-15 | "My mother has studied till 7th grade and my father did basic industrial training to support my elder sisters, taking care of his family, raising us from the humblest background.
I definitely did not know what to do after my matriculation in 2005, let alone IIT. My elder sisters were my guiding light, so one day while having lunch together, my sister said, "We will send him to IIT."
We all started looking at each other and burst into laughter. We all were unaware and surprised as we did not know what this place is and how will they send me there.
Then in Nashik, a coaching institute came, I attended their session and learnt about the cut-throat competition and the examination standard, which selects the cream of the nation's best candidates, who achieve merit in this exam.
I asked myself, "Why not? What will happen, I might fail, but what if, I studied hard and succeed?"
I entered into a zone and was so focused that I fell in love with solving Physics, Chemistry and Mathematical equations. It was never about the competition, but just enjoying the process. Day and night, I was sharpening my routine and skills, in a way that has never felt so addictive and made me happy with myself. I could solve these problems even in my sleep.
But life woks in mysteriously funny ways. In my first attempt, I got a good rank, but not good enough to get the best college to pursue my passion for Aerospace Engineering. Again the same question, "Why not a second time for IIT and this time let's aim for IIT-Bombay?"
I kept it simple with my approach this time, yet left no page unturned, took the best from my past shortcomings and after a year long pure dedication with the right and smart mindset, I was at the doors of my dream college, ready to study Aerospace Engineering.
One thing led to another, and I was leading India's first student satellite program (PRATHAM) with 'ISRO' in my third year, with one simple attitude of service, blended with curiosity and the same question, "Why not?"
We had done something fabulous, something that not happens even in one entire lifetime. And here I was, getting ready after working with 'DRDO' by again asking;
"Why not a person coming from the small-town of Nashik build a world class space-tech company and deep-tech infrastructure in India for a global market?"
With the same philosophy, in 2017, I co-founded Manastu Space and our vision of building green propulsion systems for satellites, aiming to build a safe and sustainable space environment came true. The road was tough, but maybe I have always liked the ones less taken and less explored.
We ask again, "Why not build an Indian Space Ecosystem and cutting-edge technology that will contribute to our nation's growth and defense objectives, competing with international companies? What stops us, absolutely nothing!"
- Co Founder and CEO Tushar Jadhav at the prestigious Indore Management Association 33rd IMA International Management Conclave on “Powering India - From Earth to Orbit”.
In his full-length address at IMA Indore, Tushar Jadhav (Co-founder of Manastu Space) shares his journey from a real vulnerable depth and dives into the mission to make space travel safer, more agile and sustainable.
For decades, the industry has relied on highly toxic propellants and we're here to change that.
What you’ll learn in this video: 1. The Green Revolution: Why transitioning to non-toxic propulsion is the only way to scale the satellite economy? 2. Startup Resilience: The reality of building 'Deep Tech' in India and moving from a concept to TRL 8 certification. 3. At Manastu Space, we’re making that possible.
From the labs of IIT Bombay to the frontiers of space, our mission is to redefine how satellites and launch vehicles move in orbit - safely, sustainably, and efficiently.
Co-founded by Tushar Jadhav (CEO) and Ashtesh Kumar (CTO), Manastu Space is India’s first space-tech startup developing green propulsion systems powered by our proprietary fuel - MS289, a hydrogen-peroxide-based formulation that’s as safe as salt, yet delivers powerful performance.
💡 Our Four Propulsion Systems:
🛰 Vyom 2U: 1N propulsion for agile 50–100 kg satellites 🚀I-Booster: 4N integrated system for 100-500Kg satellites 🎯Sharanga: Micro-propulsion for CubeSats with precision control 💨GP-LAM: 300N thruster-based APS for upper stages and OTVs
All systems are powered by MS289, offering: ✅ Zero ground toxicity and safety risks ✅ Lower operational and mission costs ✅ Higher thrust efficiency and mission lifespan ✅ Cleaner burns for debris avoidance, station keeping & de-orbiting
Because green propulsion isn’t the need of the future, it is the future.
Join the movement. Let’s build propulsion systems your mission deserves. 📩 For collaborations and enquiries: marketing@manastuspace.com
