ALL MAIN STORY CUTSCENES (With Explanations, No Fillers) - Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] Everglow 2021-06-13 | Man, this took a whole week. At first, I meant to do just a plain compilation of the Daybreak Town cutscenes, but I soon realized that this game does need someone explaining the meaning of some major plot points after some cutscenes, otherwise you won't be able to understand most of it—especially if you're not familiar with this game. That's why I added some information boxes at the beginning and throughout this video, so I could hopefully give you a better comprehension of what turned out to be the most interesting story out of all the Kingdom Hearts titles so far.This video only contains the cutscenes related to the main plot, excluding battles and the filler episodes from game events and Disney worlds. [NEW] KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE - Episode 18: Another Road Everglow 2022-12-22 | This is probably the most curious episode out of all of Dark Road story, as it depicts events connecting all of Xehanort's life, moments that we never saw in a proper order. It mixes scenes from both Dark Road and Birth by Sleep, giving us a glimpse of the future heroes of the saga and how the friendship between Xehanort and Eraqus fell apart. Watching this after their relationship in Dark Road is much more painful, after all their promises to respectively watch their backs. Eraqus changed a lot, but he always tried to overlook Xehanort's actions in the past, leading to nothing.As for the KH3 flashbacks of the chess scenes where Eraqus wins, this is how I envisioned them. Those scenes and dialogues in KH3 are just a "poetic way" to announce Sora's victory, thanks to the light of the past. I like to think that they didn't really happen during Dark Road, but they're just a medium for giving us a preview of the future events (Ephemer helping Sora and the Lost Master arc).Some of the next episodes related to Birth by Sleep will be re-uploaded, as they need to catch up with the episodes numbering order. [NEW] KINGDOM HEARTS TIMELINE - Episode 17: Unjust World Everglow 2022-12-18 | This episode is pretty special and it took much care. Did you really think I would ignore battles just like that?! I couldn't wait to show you how I wanted Dark Road gameplay to be. Visually wise, the gameplay was terrible. It was so frenetic that the viewer struggled to follow the action. I myself had troubles to follow the order of the attacks because, visually, battles have the same KHUX animations, but...their speed is doubled. Which is something I never tolerated and it was terrible to see. This is why I made the battles look as closely as possible like in KHUX, having the same animation speed. Every single tap or sound effect for the attacks in battles have been manually added. The Theater mode of KHUX has two cutscenes which are almost identical and in the original video I didn't make a proper transition between them, so some of the dialogues were repeated (talking about minute 16:20). Your help is precious!-— Explaining the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project —As many of you already know, the Kingdom Hearts Timeline project started back in April 2018 as a way to prepare all of us for the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. What is the Timeline project? Basically, you'll see all of the story events as they chronologically happen. Which is seemingly easy to do, but...if you're familiar with Kingdom Hearts, then you do know the series is so full of flashbacks, callbacks and retcons, that it's extremely easy to lose track of them.I always like to think of the Timeline as an experiment. I wasn’t sure if it could be a welcome one but, somehow, it was so well received that it exceeded my expectations. The original Timeline was just a way to re-live all of the Kingdom Hearts titles leading to KH3, in a different, yet familiar way. I never had plans to go back to it, as I was fully aware of all the flashbacks and callbacks that could be added in the future titles. I don’t really like the idea of uploading new, fixed episodes every now and then—it would just confuse all of you (and, more than anyone, myself!)Still, the requests and messages I received in the past few years made me reconsider my plans. More than anything, I did plan to complete the KHUX saga, as it was the only incomplete title when KH3 came out. So here we are! Now that KHUX ended I have everything at my disposal for making the ultimate, complete chronological version of this title. I can’t stress enough the purpose of this project—this doesn’t want to be the best or the perfect way of experiencing the Kingdom Hearts saga. All of the titles should be played following their release dates. The Timeline is simply an alternate way of experiencing the story we already know and only players who already played the games should watch it. Kingdom Hearts Dark Road - Post Credits Ending Scene Everglow 2022-08-26 | Thought of uploading this specific cutscene separately as well, in order to make it more accessible and easier to watch, share and discuss about. I'll take this as a chance to share my own thoughts about the whole finale now that I'm at it.I guess we weren't expecting to see so many little hearts leaving the bodies of 12 kids today! Was it worth it playing the finale yourself? Yes, but only if you were fully prepared and had a stacked deck beforehand. There's no need to grind for hours for an offline game with no incentives or rewards. I had tons of BP I could exchange with all the cards I wanted, so it was a breeze.Going back to Dark Road after 21 months was kind of odd, as I totally forgot what cards I had as well as most of their effects. But then again, I can confirm the gameplay could have a good potential, but it was still requiring too much speed from the player. Which didn't really make me enjoy it, as I am always too focused on my cards and I barely looked at my enemies during battles.Still, I'm glad it finally got its own ending, although we all probably expected to last way longer. The final part of Dark Road was supposed to be released, alongside the offline version of the game, in September 2021. However, Square announced they needed more time and scheduled the update for winter. The update is still requiring more time than previously mentioned and, as of today, we still don't know the exact date. I would dare to assume it's going to be released pretty soon, as a lot of big news concerning Kingdom Hearts are on their way. In fact, the saga is turning 20 years old on March 28th and a lot of hot stuff will be revealed!Note #1: this delay is the reason why I still didn't go back to the Timeline project. Back when I announced the return of the Timeline, we were supposed to get the final part of Dark Road within September. [Livestream] Exploring Quadratum in Kingdom Hearts 3! Everglow 2021-07-26 | Thanks to 13th Vessel (twitter.com/ligero_miguel) for allowing me to showcase this mod! This is part of a livestream made a couple of days ago on my Twitch (twitch.tv/everglowtv) and it's about a KH3 PC mod that 13th Vessel worked on in the past weeks. It basically allows you to visit the Quadratum map you can normally only see from above, when fighting Yozora. Most of the objects and the buildings now have proper collision, which means you can now touch them, walk on them and so on. Even the way you access Quadratum itself is just incredibly well done. The amount of work done from the developers for working on such a big city is impressive, if you consider we're not even supposed to explore it in the first place. There are too many nice details hidden here and there and I highly suggest you to explore this by yourself if you have the chance.Unfortunately I didn't have much time at disposal for a long exploration, but this will serve as an incentive for you all to go and explore it yourself! The ending story update for the global version has been finally released a few hours ago, without even notifying the playerbase. I already told most of my thoughts and did my thanks in the Japanese translated video, so I won't repeat myself here. However, I was glad to realize that 99% of our translation was accurate, especially the part about the darknesses and the vessels. I won't lie, I'm still disappointed that people playing on global had to wait 10 days in order to get to play the ending, avoiding spoilers and feeling treated differently than the Japanese playerbase. This has been an issue forever, since the game was released, and I'm disappointed to see they couldn't deliver the ending worldwide (especially since the last couple of updates were released simultaneously with the Japanese version).More videos will follow this one, focused on summing up the story, which will only include the important stuff. Most of my dearest memories are tied to it, especially the ones related to the friends I played with. I didn’t expect them to make a new Dearly Beloved specifically for the credits, but man, Yoko never disappoints. This music is pure magic.
