This is a Texas 67 Chevelle Malibu that I restored back in the 1990s. Part is shot in Texas and the finished car mostly in Ohio. I bought it in some small Texas town north of Plano and it had the original paint, door dings, 283, powerglide and bench seat. I stripped the whole car down refinished the body in PPG black lacquer. I had to vinyl dye some interior parts but it was good quality stuff and they came out perfect! 3M is awesome. Original door panels are great, the repops don't have the raised ribs. Has the original dash pad and headliner too. In the video the marking on the seat says: This is really a 66 GTO seat, that's the only bummer is I couldn't find clean 67 buckets. I dumped a crate GM LS6 engine in there, took the powerglide out and installed a Turbo 400, installed a restored 12 bolt posi with 3:73 gears as well (hard to find even in 1990). I wish I'd cleaned the motor up before the video!! It was a super straight and cool looking car when it was all done. It sucked so much gas, it was hard to believe. Video is old school analog Cannon and Sony. The intensely awesome Steve Morse band 'Simple Simon' is featured for the sound track! Perfect fit for the video!
