A photo called 'Phantom' by Peter Lik was reportedly sold for 6.5 million dollars. It’s a black-and-white image capturing a light column in Antelope Canyon in Arizona.
But the photo’s sale does not go without controversy. Peter Lik has not publicly disclosed the buyer and there is no concrete proof of the sale. Many critics say that to get this effect, all it takes is to throw dust up in the air at a specific time of day. Others point to how common the photo is since so many tourists pass by that area.
