This is my second trip to try and accomplish the 1 mile shot with my Uintah Precision UPR10 6.5 Creedmoor bolt Action AR10 upper. The first attempt was foiled from my constant scope adjustment and inconsistencies in ammunition. I have a more fine tuned load this time shooting Hornady 147g ELD-M Bullets over H4350 loaded in the excellent Atlas Development Group brass. With single digit SDs and very good groups at 100 and 500 Yards I decided to try the mile shot. Scope I used for the shot was an SWFA SS fixed 20x with 40moa base. The camera mount I used that is attached to my rifle is the really cool Nexus outdoors Umount. I made sure to go beyond the 1 mile mark to 1,769 Yards to the plate! Weather was very nice, 55-60° with a mild 2-4 mpg wind. My ballistics chart put me right on the elevation I needed, but did I make it happen?
