On Friday, July 10, Colorado Department of Transportation crews installed a 50-ton bridge that will serve as a bikeway overpass over the 63rd Street median between the northbound and southbound directions of the CO 119/Diagonal Highway.
The new overpass will provide a safe crossing for bicyclists and pedestrians over 63rd Street, enhancing access to the CO 119 bikeway and RTD’s new Park-n-Ride on the west side of 63rd Street. It will also strengthen connections to the future CO 119 BRT service between Boulder and Longmont.
While these are exciting milestones for the project, please remember to keep out of the active construction zone and follow pedestrian and cyclist access paths, as well as speed limits.
