Book series here include lengths over 300 volumes to just 3 volumes (not counting the amount of pages per book). The fantasy genre is known for extremely long stories, particularly of the epic variety. It could be fairly easy to finish a long book series for some, but due to various elements such as time constraints, this may take up weeks or months to complete. Ultimately they’re definitely worth reading and the experience are just edifying, entertaining, hilarious, educational, or all of the above.
Reading for a long time can be meditative and assumes a pleasant rhythm for long stretches. At other times it feels maddeningly dull, and you’ll be scanning pages with your eyes but not really reading anything at all, and have to go back to where you last remember. But do not give up fellow bookworms, take a break and continue the adventure at a later time, helped along by a cup of coffee or tea once in a while.
