A very unique project, this is Alexander Sohm´s creation, dubbed "Mayota" as it is features a drivetrain taken part from the original Mazda 323 GTR and from a Toyota Celica GT-Four. From the Mazda it retains the 1.8L Turbocharged engine, now stroked to 1.9L, here producing 620Hp thanks to forged rods and pistons aongside a whole host of modifications, and from the GT-Four it takes most of the AWD transmission, although such modification could only be made possible with the creation of plenty of custom made parts like Axles, Driveshafts, etc...It features a SQS Dogbox with SQS sequential shifter, a Drexler Rear differential, CEIKA brakes front and rear and KW Suspension from Günther Dullinger.
With a very Widebodied shell made of fibreglass and Carbon fibre, this 1040Kg Monster is the produt of the imagination of Mr. Sohm and his friend showing how Hillclimb Racing still permits true ingeniousness unlike any other motorsport.
