This video is the 4th in this segment on day-to-day life as an #Expat living abroad. Specifically, as a Black Woman Expat living here in Manta, Ecuador. I'm into my 2nd year here. I'm still enjoying my life here and continuing to learn about my new home. This segment of videos is in response to a request to provide information on my day-to-day experiences. So that someone planning to move could be better prepared for the things that are different from what we've taken for granted in the United States. A favorite Bible verse of mine is: "It's the little foxes that spoil the vine." That could be the case when you move abroad, that you discover relatively small things that cause annoyance or displeasure. It's the spices or your favorite sweetener that's not available. I personally don't like that agave syrup is not readily available, and neither is "Glad's Press N Seal. Batteries are a lot more expensive than I'm used to paying. Electronics, in general, are several times more expensive because they are imported. These are the things that help you pack more wisely.
