6.0 Powerstroke - DiY Engine Rebuild - Part 8. This is the last video in the 6.0 powerstroke diy engine rebuild series. I start by installing the front cover and gasket on the 6.0 powerstroke engine. I then installed the LPOP gears all nice and oiled up. Then I install the LPOP cover and tighten the bolts down. I then install the water pump in the front cover. I then installed the exhaust manifolds and move onto the rear main seal. After the rear main seal we have to install the plate on the end of the crankshaft that is pressed on so we can then install the fly wheel. After I install the flywheel my cousins came over and we put the engine in the truck. We didn't film this in detail because it took us 6 hours and we just wanted to get it done. Then the next day I got out and over the course of 10 hours taking my time I installed the rest of the accessories and fluids and such. I found my starter positive connection was broken so now I am waiting on a starter. A couple of really cool products in the video that are not sponsored. 1 was a stainless steel body and screen that goes under the oil cooler. The other is a stainless steel reusable oil filter that is suppose to have better filtering and higher flow.
