How to Flush a hot water heater to clean drain out sediments, follow these maintenance steps,
step 1 turn off water heater
step 2 turn off gas valve or electric switch
step 3 turn off water to water heater
step 4 turn on hot water to sink, this prevents vacuum in pipe line
step 5 connect hose and run hose outside to drain, then open valve
step 6 open water valve to water heater to flush for 10 minutes.
