Welcome back to the studio! Today’s painting is a whimsical watercolor landscape full of gentle humor and countryside charm. We’ll be creating rolling hills, a drystone wall, and a curious little flock of sheep all crowding into a gap in the wall — as if they've got somewhere important to be! This tutorial includes tips on all the must-have techniques for creating a watercolor painting, be it landscape or any other subject. This includes how to paint in layers, mixing soft greens, building depth with limited colors (aerial perspective), masking out your whites, creating a wet in wet sky and even creating a playful narrative within your landscape. So whether you’re here for the painting or the story, this one will make you smile.
