I favour this combination of square wave based sounds because I used to use it to create tunes in the first half of 2021. It uses two pure square wave sounds with no alteration to the envelope and another two changed by a slider to the left of the pitch shift slider on the synthesiser that brings out different overtones in the square wave. One of the latter sounds is playing mostly the same melodies and chords as the 1st square wave two steps up on the pitch shift slider with some alteration to timing and sometimes octave and note lengths, creating a chorus effect and the other is playing base. Meanwhile, I have the other pure square wave playing counter melodies. This is a pretty basic synth combination compared with what I’ve done in years since but I’ve come back to it because I like those tunes I wrote in the early days of using the synthesiser.
These are all original compositions, and I wonder if anyone will be particularly fond of the fifth one. It has quite a ragtime way about it. The first tune was taken from a melody that I made up when I was 10.
