This week Schony747 is tracksside on The North East Standard Gauge line here in Victoria. This line runs from Melbourne to Victoria's north east and through New South Wales towards Sydney. There are the usual trains that run on a regular basis and a couple of diverted freights that would normally run via Broken Hill in New South Wales to South Australia and Perth but are running via Victoria while track repairs take place.
6MC2 is an important train. AN5 is the only locomotive left in service of the 11 that were built in 1992. The other 10 have been stored.
