Five-year-old Conner Ellis-Egan celebrated a major milestone at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven, ringing the bell to mark the end of his cancer treatment. Conner was diagnosed at 18 months old and had been in treatment since 2023. NBC Connecticut first met him that year and learned he was a huge fan of meteorologist Bob Maxon. Three years and one month later, Maxon was there as Conner celebrated being cleared from cancer treatment with his family and hospital staff.
