2025 marked our second (full) year back, and with it came many fun surprises, both old and new.
Since 2024 saw us pitting all our best work against each other in a bracketed showdown called March Madness, we knew we couldn't just do that again. So we brought back our Bummer Week 5SFs and even shot some new ones to fill out the month - and unleashed March Sadness on the world. Would you believe that went over much better for us on TikTok than it did on Instagram? I guess Millennials are not exactly shocked anymore about how much life can suck. ("Yeah yeah, stomped there, clapped that...")
As Summer rolled around, it was time for DUDE BRO PARTY MASSACRE III to go on its 10th Anniversary "Is It Cult Yet?" Celebration Tour, and we took the damn thing nationwide all over again. A fantastic screening at Vidiots, hosted by the incredible Patton Oswalt, pretty much capped off the whole shebang. It's always our dream to show that movie to audiences new and old, in theaters or your mom's basement, and thanks for helping make it come true over and over. On TikTok we decided 5SFs were way too slow for the modern audience, so we gave them a month of much faster cuts called "Wake Me Up When September Ends Quicker Than Usual." This was an abject failure, except for one compilation that somehow proved the whole experiment worthwhile.
Fast-forward through another spooky month and a haphazard holiday season, and what have you got? Well, a Patreon still roaring strong with lots of fun exclusives (BTS, alternative cuts and much more), a brand-new time-expanding character who's gonna be up to all kinds of mischief in 2026, and plenty more 5SFs to keep you halfway-chuckling all year long!
Oh, and out of nowhere our YouTube Shorts viewership started perking up, and now they absolutely clown on our atrocious YouTube views! Go Team Shorts!
On a personal note, 2025 marks 20 years since the first 5-Second Films were ever made, and it heartens me that there's still a home for them all this time later. Especially since the internet sucks so incredibly now. It's a terrible reflection on us! Just kidding, we love you all!
