After tracking the clip of Obi-wan in Analyzer, we opened it in our Retargeter plugin in Maya to create the animation. We started by using AutoSolve on all of the Face Groups, then spent about 10 minutes to add the body movement, a couple of keys on the tongue, and give him an awesome beard. Nothing major was changed from the base AutoSolve result, which is created automatically.

Clip Info: This week's #VictorVids is from the legendary Jean-Luc Picard, Captain of the Starship Enterprise! This clip was animated using Faceware's AutoSolve tech in our Retargeter software. After tracking the clip of Captain Picard in Analyzer, we opened it in our Retargeter plugin in Maya to create the animation. We started by using AutoSolve on all of the Face Groups, then added some torso animation to match Captain Picard's. Two small tongue flicks were added for the 'T' and the 'L' and lastly we adjusted the eye line to match the camera.
Nothing major was changed from the base AutoSolve result, which is done automatically by Retargeter.
This new AutoSolve tech is a lot of fun when you start to see how fast you can get some really nice looking results.

After tracking the clip of Shang Tsung in Analyzer, we opened it in our Retargeter plugin in Maya to create the animation. We started by using AutoSolve on all of the Face Groups, then spent about 15 minutes adding some flair like the body movement, tongue flicker, and pushing the brows to get a little more exaggerated. Nothing major was changed from the base AutoSolve result, which is created automatically.

Clip Info: This week's #VictorVids is from the weirdest scene in the film, "Dante's Peak". This clip was animated using Faceware's AutoSolve tech in our Retargeter software. After tracking the clip in Analyzer, we opened it in our Retargeter plugin in Maya to create the animation. We started by using AutoSolve on all of the Face Groups, then spent about 10 minutes fixing some weird issues that occurred from all of the camera cuts. Not an ideal video for facial tracking...but that's never stopped us before!
Nothing major was changed from the base AutoSolve result other than fixing areas where his face is out of frame or there was so much motion blur that the data wasn't usable.

Nothing major was changed from the base AutoSolve result.

After tracking the clip of Shaq in Analyzer, we opened it in our Retargeter plugin in Maya and spent a little under 10 minutes to create this shot. We started by using AutoSolve on all of the Face Groups, then the tongue was animated by hand and we made some small tweaks to the eyebrows and the 'OO' mouth shape to put it more on the level of Shaq's awesomeness. Nothing major was changed from the base AutoSolve result but exaggerating a few poses.
