Hey all,
So, since I'm less than 300 from 5K (screams,) I thought I'd open up a giveaway/host a collab and whatnot. If you all have any other suggestions, feel free to let me know in the comments.
COLLABS:
Okay, so what I'm thinking is, depending on how many people are interested in joining, I might host one happy and sad. I'd also like to have an opportunity for people who haven't joined before to participate. (I will, of course, still welcome my friends in, but I would like to encourage you to join if you haven't joined any of mine before. :) The only things I do insist on are having the ability to render to HD, the ability to actually edit, and the ability to get your part done on time, other than that I'm not really picky. ;)

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The theme of this collab is happiness. Youre very welcome to tie in both happiness and sadness the song is fairly wistful, after all but definitely a focus on hope. :)
Not first come, first serve. While I will be making an effort to give everyone who is an editor a chance at joining, I will ultimately decide whether you get in or not.
MUST BE ABLE TO AT LEAST RENDER TO HD, WORK WITH THE MUSIC, AND FOLLOW THE RULES.
THE RULES:
Choose three parts you are able/would like to edit, in order from your favorite to least favorite. You will receive one, although if you are willing to do more than one, please let me know in case we need fill ins. I will try my best to give you one of your preferred parts.
Live action, but animation/video games/etc are allowed IF YOU CAN USE THEM GRACEFULLY.
Overlays and text are allowed under the same rule.
Sound effects and voice overs are welcome if used gracefully, but if you use them you must send them in a separate mp3 with no music.
If you have Sony Vegas, please add the coloring to each individual clip. This really helps the quality of the finished product.
Please add a second or two of clip to either side of your part to help with transitions and minute details later.
We will be using the playlist method for scenes, so you MUST UPLOAD YOUR VIDEO TO YOUTUBE ON UNLISTED, AND PLACE THE DOWNLOAD LINK IN THE DESCRIPTION. I really need to stress this as a lot of people do one or the other, and its very helpful if you do both.
Parallels are very encouraged.
Id really like it if this collab could turn out awesome, so really make some effort and try to do the best you can. And, of course, have fun. :)
