In this video I try to attach a 5.5w laser module firstly to the circuitry of a 2.5w A5 mini Laser engraving machine, and then to a 12v TTL laser driver which I had installed in my first enclosure. The laser didn’t work the with first despite increasing the potentiometer to supply more power, but seemed to work the second time.
Anyway I’m not sure if I would recommend this particular laser as newer ones have the TTL input built into the circuitry onboard. Some also have fixed focus length so you know where to position the module on the gantry while this needs focusing. My driver is also a little dodge as if the TTL connection becomes loose the lase automatically turns on.
