Welcome to Season 1 of the ultimate test of design, strength, and creativity — the 3D Printed Hook Showdown at The Maker Retreat! 🎥🔥
Our teams of makers, each appointed a lead designer to go head-to-head in a tournament-style challenge to see who can design the strongest 50g 3D printed hook. With instant replays, live commentary, and all the drama of a gameshow, only one team will walk away with the title of Hook Champion.

• 🟥 Red Team – Jón Schone (@properprinting )
Who will rise to the challenge? Who will snap under the pressure? 💥
Rules:
1. Weight Limit: Your hook must weigh 50 g or less.
2. Printing: 3D-printed hooks cannot be assembled from multiple prints,
print in place mechanisms are allowed.
3. Hook & Hold: It must attach to the 8 mm Ø shackle bar at both ends
without removing the bar.
4. Hooks must be printed on site: Teams need to print their design in 3
different materials (Polymaker™ PLA, Polymaker™ PETG & Polymaker™ ABS) on the printers provided.
5. Before each round Teams secretly decide which material to use.
6. All 3 materials must be used once in the round robin stage.
7. Finals - the top two teams go head to head in a final where they can
choose their best performing/surviving hook from the round robin,
bottom two teams go into a 3rd place playoff.
