Cross Border Flying really opens up a lot of potential for awesome adventures, but the process can be daunting.
I live very close to the Northern U.S. border and have flown across many times over the past few years…
I’ve made a couple mistakes recently though (one of them was potentially VERY costly, as per the email I got on Halloween 2023).
I’ve since completely overhauled my checklist and procedures for cross border flying (it was actually a compulsory part of the compliance process while I worked with CBP do rectify by biggest error); While going through that, I came across a great hack for dealing with eapis - the Electronic Advance Passenger Information System (one of the most arduous aspects of flying general aviation across the border).
I was inspired to make a dedicated episode to share what I’ve learned, which is coming in a week or so.
