In April 2001, several drivers on the NASCAR Winston Cup Series circuit are in desperate need for a turnaround, including last year’s frontrunners Bobby Labonte, Tony Stewart, and Jeff Burton. Their next obstacle is a particularly hot afternoon on the tiny Martinsville Speedway, where tempers and tensions are sure to rise. And as Talladega looms ever closer, apprehensions from Daytona follow close behind.
