Lake Sakakawea is one of the largest man-made reservoirs in the United States, located in central North Dakota along the Missouri River. Spanning over 368,000 acres with 1,320 miles of shoreline, it's a premier fishing destination in the Upper Midwest. The lake was formed by the Garrison Dam and is named after the Shoshone woman Sacagawea.
