If You are using Windows 10, here are five list of things to do that might be useful for you.
Let's proceed.
1: Dealing with Windows 10 Privacy Intrusions.
Most people would just casually click through the initial setup without actually looking at what would have raised their eyebrows if they were to pay just a little attention to it. [Show Pic]
Inside Settings, turn off everything that you feel is an intrusion to your privacy, especially the keylogger that talks about sending your input data to Microsoft since it's on by default.
As for me, I just turned everything off.
Under "Diagnostic and Usage Data", notice that you can only pick between sending Microsoft your usage data in Basic, Enhanced and Full Mode, you cannot pick None, isn't this interesting...
Turn off all the Background running Apps as well, you will run them as and when you need them instead of them just running in the background wasting system resources.
Restart your computer so that any background running Apps that are currently running will no longer be running after the restart so that we can proceed to the next step.
2: Removing Bloatwares.
This is the part where you get to delete all the Bloatwares that usually comes along with new laptops.
If you are a REALLY NEW user and have no idea what programs you may find useful, you may choose to do this at a later time.
3: The Start Menu.
Install the program "Classic Shell".
It will streamline your Start Menu from this back to pure decency like the Windows 7's Start Menu.
Open Settings again-Personalization-Themes-Desktop Icon Settings-Check "Computer" to get this Icon back so that you can access all your drives by just double clicking on this icon in the future.
4: Dealing with more Windows 10 Privacy Intrusions.
Run the program "DWS" as administrator to block even more of Microsoft's behind the scene data collection of your data.
Restart your Laptop.
5: Dealing with even more Windows 10 Privacy Intrusions.
Run the program "O&O" as administrator to block even more of Microsoft's behind the scene collection of your data.
Restart your laptop one last time and you are now ready to use your laptop.
To those of you who are feeling a little bit more adventurous, you might even want to consider doing a clone of your current drive so that you can always revert back to your computer's current state if you choose to do so in the future, I may cover this topic in the future.
