This is a topic I've been wanting to address for a while now.
Today's fashion is all about comfort and style. I get it. But as followers of Christ, we have to ask ourselves: Does what we wear reflect God’s heart for us and for others?
In 1 Timothy 2:9-10, Paul reminds us that we are called to dress modestly, with decency and respect.
This doesn’t mean we have to wear unflattering clothing. Modesty doesn’t mean we can’t look good, but it does mean we must be aware of the deeper impact of our choices. Our clothes (this goes for men too) should not distract our brothers and sisters in Christ by tempting them to sin.
So, let’s be intentional. Let’s dress in a way that honors God.
