In my opinion, as a motorcycle traveler, the most important requirement from any model, or number one priority, is always reliability. Because what is the point of having the best-performing model when I cannot trust it?
I know that on this point, many might deny my words, and I am sure that they will have their arguments, but soon or later, everyone will come to the same conclusion.
It is a motorcycle trip, not a race or exhibition. You have to be able to go from point A to point B with this model to complete your goals, and if you cannot do it, because of a malfunction or any other reason, the whole idea is lost, right?
Reliability and longevity are tightly related to three other factors: simplicity, build quality, and proper maintenance. This triangle is the strong foundation that you need if you want to have trouble trouble-free motorcycle.
If you remove only one of them, the triangle will fall apart. For example, simplicity and build quality without proper maintenance will still lead to failure. The most expensive and detailed maintenance without simplicity and build quality won't help either.
It is like a navigation system; without having three different points, it cannot find your location. It is more or less the same with motorcycle choice; you will always be lost, no matter how much money or effort you put into it.
