This is an Any% NG+ speedrun of the eighth Chapter of Skylanders: Giants for Wii (played on WiiU), Troll Home Security, on Hard mode, with an in-game time of 3 minutes and 8 seconds. As of this recording, it is the current World Record. (EDIT 2019: Due to the introduction of IL timing subcategories for IGT and RTA, this run is no longer the IGT World Record run, but it is still the World Record run in terms of Real Time (RTA).)
The highlight of this run is obvious: a new skip has been discovered! And this just happens to be the time I decide to finally do a recorded run of this Chapter.
Im exploring some other possible skips in this Chapter, but none of them seem to be as consistent or as useful as the new Bouncer skip.")

This is my very first World Record, nevertheless an Any% speedrun, ever posted online. It is of the first Chapter of Skylanders: Giants on Hard difficulty, for the Wii (played on the WiiU), completed in 2 minutes and 7 seconds of in-game time, outpacing Skytoons run by 6 seconds and earning my run a World Record time (at the time of publishing this). This was recorded during a (viewer-less) livestream, so I used my speedrunning scene in OBS to record it; as such, I also decided to record the real time as well as the in-game time for additional info.
There are two attempts in this video. The second is slightly faster than the first in real time, but both retain the exact same recorded in-game time.
In the recent past, Ive been working on achieving a much greater run than this in Skylanders: Giants, but I didnt have the time to attempt it today, so I decided to look at speedrun.com and see what smaller records I can break in my short amount of time.

My ROBO-KAOS split is still messed up from the last run, and I forgot to fix that.

So here is my first music piece to be posted on Youtube. Because I dont have all of these fancy programs that people usually use to present things like this, and Im stuck with AVS Video Editor (probably not up to date), this video is audio only. Sorry about that.
I actually made this quite recently, but I want to post older stuff in the future.
World Yamataizer is one of my favorite themes from the Touhou fangame Riverbed Soul Saver. I just had to make this when I learned how to arrange it digitally.

Update 2020: This run is now only valid for Any% because the rules for this category, now named All Levels Original Trio, have changed to adhere to the All Story Levels category rules.
This is an Any% Original Trio speedrun of Skylanders Giants (the Wii game played on the WiiU), performed on Easy mode in 2 hours, 3 minutes, and 40 seconds. As of this recording, it is the current World Record run due to no other runs of this category existing before it.
I forgot to apply the Luck-o-Tron wheel that I spent quite some time getting! Dangit!
This is a rather bland category. Not very many skips can be used here, but the gate-jumping Stealth Elf skips fortunately work with Tree Rex as well, saving several minutes.

This is an Any% NG+ speedrun of the sixth Chapter of Skylanders: Giants for Wii (played on WiiU), Secret Vault of Secrets, on Hard mode, with an in-game time of 9 minutes and 8 seconds, which is a new world record as of this recording. (EDIT 2019: Due to the introduction of IL timing subcategories for IGT and RTA, this run is no longer the IGT World Record run, but it is still the World Record run in terms of Real Time (RTA).)
Not much effort here, I just wanted to set the bar. Its one of my least favorite Chapters to speedrun so far because of these long autoscrolling sections. At least Autogyro Adventure has those speed boosts.
I used Zap at that gate-opening section for a pretty detailed reason. You see, when you tell Flameslinger to shoot an arrow, he automatically stores the angle to the nearest enemy in his general direction before he fires the arrow. Aiming towards enemies takes greater priority over aiming towards those gate eyes, so Flameslinger will fire at the enemies instead, which wastes time; this is all the same with his Flame Volley, which is difficult to set up during the first gate section and I luckily got in quick time in this run. Zap, on the other hand, does not automatically aim like Flameslinger does; he simply fires lightning bolts directly out in front of him. Combined with his speed, he made the cut for an alternative long-ranged speedy Skylander.")
