Cat Kerr | 5 Step Test on Stabilo Point 88 Marker - Fineliner Series #1 @CatKerrMixedMedia | Uploaded June 2019 | Updated October 2024, 14 hours ago.
Welcome to my new product series "Art Supplies #101"
As a mixed media artist, I am always on the lookout for products that can do a specific task. For example, a glue that works with metal, or a Fineliner that works on plastic, or a permanent blendable Art crayon that works on Dura-lar. I often end up buying something that doesn't work for the task at hand and that can be frustrating.
In this series, I'll take categories of specific products(adhesives, permanent markers, gesso, ....) and assess the individual products in that category to see exactly how they perform.
My first category is Fineliners and the first product is on the Stabilo Point 88 pen/marker. If you're interested in this and the future videos in this series, be sure to subscribe to my channel. And if you have a product you would like for me to test out, leave it in the comments below.
My hope in this series is to try products in various ways in order to give myself and you an accurate assessment. This way we can learn what a specific product works best with and what it doesn't. Hopefully, the results help you choose the right product for your project. This is my view/opinion on the results.
I'll be doing a 5 Step Assessment test.
1. Initial
2. Skip Test
3. Wipe Test
4. Ghosting
5. Smudge Test with Highlighter
