"Tip Of The Week" - **Special Viewer Edition** - Five more incredibly useful, ingenuitive, and just plain awesome uses for ChapStick. Who would have thought that there would be so many "uncommon" uses for such a common item? Aside from simply preventing chapped lips, this viewer inspired video demonstrates a few more of the many creative and functional applications that a regular ol' tube of lip balm can be used for. Some of the uses shown here include:
- An easy method of preventing fog from forming on the lenses of your optics (such as binoculars, scopes, and eye glasses).
- A quick way to not only put a shine on your leather boots, but to provide a level of water resistance while in-the-field.
- A simple, yet effective field expedient coating to protect your high carbon steel blades from rust and corrosion.
- As an excellent lubricant for outdoor gear and equipment. ChapStick can be used for everything from helping your fishing reel to operate more smoothly, to extending the life of O-rings in items such as your flashlight.
