When two old friends met up near their childhood home in Northern Germany in 2014, they reminisced about exploring the area’s expansive woodlands and remembered encountering a series of strange periscope-like pipes jutting out of the mossy earth. Fearful as kids, they did not dare venture to find out what was connected to those pipes hidden so deep in the woods.
Now as adults with some experience as urban explorers, they were determined to find out where the pipes led. The pair eventually found the pipes once more and began searching the area for clues. It wasn’t long before they discovered a concrete entryway descending into an apparent Soviet bunker from the Cold War era.
The two friends entered with their camera, finding themselves in a claustrophobic corridor lined with peeling paint and debris. Behind them, an iron gate swung closed with an ominous clang. It wasn’t locked, but the mere existence of the gate nevertheless chilled these two explorers. Could they become trapped...?
