The Kuwait Olympic Committee hosted the Asian Games Fun Run at their Headquarters at Jaber Al Ahmad City on Monday, November 28.
Five schools in Kuwait sent a total of 182 students to take part in the festivities, which involved a series of warm-up exercises before the schools took it in turn to race around the athletics track in the plush sports complex.
The VIP guests included the Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Mr. Husain Al-Musallam, who is Secretary General of Kuwait Olympic Committee, and the KOC Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Ali Al-Marri.
The Asian Games Fun Run was also attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait, His Excellency Zhang Jianwei, who helped to present the prizes to the students.“I would like to thank the Kuwait Olympic Committee for organising this special Asian Games Fun Run to promote the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China in 2023,” he said.
