I don't actually speedrun DOOM 2 competitively, I just thought this would be funny and interesting. Most skips don't work on this emulator and any others that do don't work because of the mod, so this is mainly just movement and shoot monkeys. I kill a lot more monkeys than just running past because their melee attacks can nearly one shot you. Decided to scrap this as a second channel video, but I hope you all find it amusing. Shoutouts to Neener for editing the mod to remove flash effects and add rockets so the game is beatable.

This run was part of a 2 day 12 hour invitational tournament premiering the game. Me and 6th other runners competed against each other for a £3,000 prize pool. This run got me 6th place, unfortunately only being 8 seconds off 4th. I know I could have done better, but after 18 hours of Grapple Dog my mind just wasn't in the right state to go harder LOL. 2d platformers aren't my forte so I'm happy I was still able to compete with top level Mario Maker runners.

Super Monkey Ball 2 speedruns are all gas, no brakes (except for pause buffering strats). It is a great introductory game for speedrunning and there are all sorts of crazy tricks that will leave you in shock and awe. We had our runners race in the Story Mode: All Levels category, which involves completing all 100 levels as fast as possible.

Although we've only featured one other race so far (Minecraft Randomizer) on Speedrun Saturdays, this was the absolute closest race not only for Super Monkey Ball 2, but speedrunning in general. Our runners went the distance and the race became the equivalent of a game 5 last stock match in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

CZR_drums speedruns a variety of games with his drum set, most notably Breath of the Wild, Super Mario 64, and Ocarina of Time. This is made possible by converting the drum set to output MIDI messages and then bind them to the individual inputs that are on an N64 controller. There are some caveats to doing this such as it's a bit tricky to get diagonal movement, but CZR makes it work!

This run was amazing. You'll notice that this 70 star speedrun route differs from regular 70 star speedruns, and that's because some of the stars in the normal route are too difficult to obtain on a drum set. However, we were still able to see some difficult strats performed such as 'framewalking' in Jolly Roger Bay. A common question during the stream was if BLJs were possible and we had CZR show it off at the end!

In this game, the player can switch between a team’s three characters, which each have unique abilities, to overcome various parts of each stage."

"We used a custom version of Dolphin 5.0 that allows for the use of lua scripts, including functionality for an on-screen RAM Watch. Through the use of scripts, we were able to automate certain processes, such as kick acceling. In addition, we often used a go-to-position script which calculates the most optimal analog stick input to maintain a constant angle as we approach a set position."

From the authors, Nitrofski and lapogne36: "Spyro: Year of the Dragon Any% is a category which requires the Sorceress to be defeated with no restrictions placed on the method of completing that objective. In other words, "beat the final boss (for the first ending of the game) as quickly as you can get to her and win the fight."

"Normally, and as was true for the last submission of this category; this would require the collection of 100 eggs in order to open the door to Sorceress' Lair as per the in-game requirement. However, a skip found in November of 2013 allows us to bypass this requirement and complete the category with only 19 eggs (and 0 mandatory gems)."

From the author, TIKevin83: "Pokemon: Yellow Version is part of the first generation of games within its famous series, known for having a very large number of beneficial glitches. In fact, the games can be completed in less than one minute of in-game time by save data corruption and completed in around 10 minutes using a more "conventional" glitch. These runs break the game, and avoid much of the gameplay intended by the developers."

"In contrast, this run by TiKevin83 refrains from using any memory corrupting glitches and beats the game in a little over an hour and half. The Pokédoll trick is used to skip a dungeon in the game, but that is considered a minor developer oversight and does not corrupt the memory."

The loot table randomizer concept was created by SethBling when 1.14 was the latest version of Minecraft. This idea was expanded by Fasguy and not only can you randomize the blocks, but you can also randomize the gameplay (gifts, piglin bartering, etc), chest loot, entity drops, and crafts. For simplicity we chose to only make the blocks random. We wanted to showcase the bare minimum of what a Minecraft randomizer looks like in a speedrunning environment, and it exceeded all our expectations!

While these games are awful to play casually, speedrunning them is completely different. iCarly is full of small time-saves that can make or break a run, Zoey 101 has various puzzles that requires lightning fast precision and Drake & Josh is by far the most broken game with collision mechanics that allows a player to clip through almost anything and therefore skip entire levels.

Fusing all three games together creates The Schneiderthon and it's an absolute monster. Join us while we go fast to conquer this beast!
