Today on Little Wars TV, the guys break out Milton Bradley's 1986 classic, "Shogun." Soon renamed "Samurai Swords," and later rebranded as "Ikusa," this area-control game stands the test of time as an accessible strategy game. Players vie for control of Sengoku-era Japan, recruiting armies, building castles, hiring mercenaries...and sending the occasional assassin.

Chal & Zach talk about the unusual history of the game as part of Milton Bradley's Gamemaster series, alongside Axis & Allies. Why did the name change so many times? After a quick rules primer, it's time for war! Which club member will emerge victorious and claim the title of SHOGUN? If you want to download our club's house rules, including the strategy cards, or listen the guys give their post-game debrief, visit the official Little Wars TV website:
