Attacked by an unknown stranger parked by the median Ankur Sadhoo 2024-08-17 | Date: Aug 17 2024Time: 9:11amWhere: Dumbarton Cir, close to the intersection with Paseo Padre Parkway (Fremont, CA, USA)What: As I was leaving from Meta Fremont campus after charging my vehicle, I stopped on the right turn road on Dumbarton circle to clear some debris on the road which had been there for weeks (probably months). I didn't realize a car was parked by the median of the road (to my left) until the dog in it started barking at me as I cleared the debris off to the sidewalk on the right side. Seconds later a man appeared within that vehicle and said "Hey pussy, don't come near my car". I quickly got into my car to leave. He darted at me with his dog and with what seems like a disk lock on a chain and tried to hit the car. I had floored the accelerator and left just in time and was able to avoid getting hit.Reported to 911 right after (9:12am). Got a call from Fremont PD soon (9:49am). They mentioned they are aware of the person and vehicle and he is known to be hostile to both residents and officers both. They said they'll go check him out and ask him to relocate. They also mentioned the person is mentally ill.This was scary but I am glad I was able to escape out of harm's way in time. In retrospect I should have been more aware of the surroundings when deciding to stop to clear the debris from the road.Sharing this for others who are in the area or in Fremont in general. Please stay away from the person and avoid engaging in any way whatsoever.

Ankur Sadhoo 2010-10-17 | The concept:Take a simple frame-by-frame animation of a small no of frames ( i took 12): From each frame pick up a different alternating scanline to form a single final image with scanlines from all frames.Finally overlay it with a plastic printed sheet with transparent and dark sections. Each transparent section exactly over all scanlines of a single frame.
