But in all seriousness, if you are in the direct path or the evacuation zone and CAN evacuate, please do. Keep an ear on your local governing body to inform you where to go and when to leave. Help your neighbors where you can and if you are not in a flood zone, offer elderly and disabled family and friends places to stay without them having to ask. For those wondering, yes, I am currently directly in the path of the eye, however I am far enough inland that we are only being advised to prepare for localized flooding and 55-70 MPH sustained winds with gusts 80+ MPH. We are staying in place since that would be a category 1 strength. We have prepared ourselves and our house as much as we can. Thank you to those who are checking in on me, as well as those continuing to shop.
