A 4-day work week sounds good... but be careful what you wish for. The devil finds work for idle hands. Do it heartily as unto the Lord. That tension you feel? It’s keeping you safe. #WorkWisdom #Proverbs

![In the wake of Charlie Kirk, a lesson about God
Some people think that because God is powerful and sovereign, he should spare us from all evil and trouble.
But that’s not how it works.
Rather, the miracle of God’s sovereignty is this: even though evil happens, it never ultimately wins.
When Joseph looked back on his life, and all the evil things that were done to him – from being sold into slavery, to falsely accused, and suffering in jail… He said to his haters, “What you intended for evil, God intended for good.”
Evil things were done.
Their goal? To get rid of him.
But the outcome? These events positioned him in Egypt to do great things, to save many lives, and even to serve God’s plan for history… and they made him strong enough and wise enough to carry the responsibility.
THAT is the miracle of God’s sovereignty.
Evil is done. It undermines itself. The plan of God marches on. And His people grow.
The ultimate example is Jesus. The day He died was the most evil day this world has ever known. Everyone thought it was all over. But He was making a way of salvation for the world.
See, when you are in God’s kingdom, everything that happens serves His purposes.
Enduring trials makes you strong and wise.
Refusing temptation makes you holier and builds discipline.
When evil comes against you – give it time – and good will come.
And all these things lead you further into the good works God has prepared for you to do.
The whole world becomes like a gymnasium, full of training equipment, making you match-fit for heaven.
All things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas[c] or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
That is the miracle of God’s sovereignty.
It all works out so perfectly to serve our interests and gods plan in the end. In the wake of Charlie Kirk, a lesson about God](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/afwM4Daj6U0/mqdefault.jpg)
