Writing prompt: What Are 3 Things That Make You A Better Person?
Happy New Year All! I wanted to start this off by thanking all of you who have thanked me for passing on a few skills for Highlander and Warlord. I make it a point to look for other ways to use heroes. (On that note I will be putting out a Warlord video soon, which has been by request.)
BUT it's time I say it — right now I prefer Peacekeeper to all heroes. I'm not saying that she's better, but even those who understand this game well are still discovering her full potential. Her recoveries and cancels have a lot of potential. Her soft feint abilities (as bait) to dash or deflect are largely overlooked. If you are in the competitive scene, or are an extremely nerdy casual, I want your feedback on this one.
To everyone, if you really enjoy Highlander's swordplay, and Warlord's swordplay, let me remind you that Peacekeeper also bears quite a lethal sword, and a dagger, and instead of hyper armor or a shield, she has unmatched recoveries and cancels I believe.
Let this next year be a good one.Santa-Lander Vs. New Jormundgandr: Chill (literally Snowball) Vibes [For Honor]Oma Gosh2022-12-24 | I hope all of you — "Good Fight" Guardians as well as Toxic Grinches alike — all have a happy, safe holidays. The writing prompt is: "I get peace of mind when..."

Hey everyone, I only recently had a chance to play a handful of hours with HL, but what fun it is, given his new dodge attack. You up-and-coming Highlanders and other content creators whom I support in other games, I just want to let you know: I may not always have time to leave comments or catch your live streams, but I make the rounds and leave likes for all of you. Thank you especially to those of you who actually mention this channel in your discords and streams and reddit etc.
The poem I feature at the end of this video is one of best yet from this community. I guarantee if you re-read the poem, its meanings continue growing. I believe great writing is meant to do this. It somehow keeps opening doors into different ways of seeing.
Please leave poems/stories/real-life adventures of your own as well. I also highly encourage you to comment on and "thumbs up" other people's poems/stories/journaling.
And in case you missed this writing of mine the first time around, here is a chapter I wrote some time ago :
"One and the Same" – The old man remembered back when he was a very young lad, hunting with his father one day. His father was the best fighter in all the village and had slain more Romans and rival Celts than any other man.“Father," asked the boy, "if I plant an Oak, will I become strong? And if I treat my horses well, will I be swift?" These were sayings around their town, and the boy was merely repeating what he’d heard.
His father stopped them from walking just as the mouth of the river could be seen through the trees. The boy heard the sound of the water going over the pebbles in the bend. His father looked up at the sun through some leaves and wiped sweat from his forehead. He tugged at the thick white braid in his beard. “Those are very good things to do,” he said, “but they will not make you strong and swift on their own. They are one in the same: strength and swiftness.”
The boy was holding a small rock he’d picked up because he liked the feel of it in his hand. When he heard what his father said he squatted down and started to make a circle in the dirt with the rock.
“If you can catch an animal with your bare hands, and build a fire anywhere, if you can remember the stories told to you, and then recite them to others, that’s a start,” said his father.
“How will that help me learn to fight?”
His father ignored his question and said, “The more you understand yourself, the better you understand the world. You should listen more than you speak.”
And to this the young boy said nothing.
“Then, if you truly know yourself, you will never rely on worldly things, and you’ll be able to fight blindfolded.”
Had the boy not followed his father’s advice, he never would have met his wife, who was from a town on the other side of that same river. When he met her, some years later, she was the most striking woman he’d ever seen, and also, being the daughter of a great known hero, he enjoyed listening to her talk about a great manner of things. Therefore he picked one violet and one white flower, and gave them to her one day.
And therefore she twisted their stems together and did, indeed, wear them in her hair. ___________

He no longer felt that seething flame when his fingers wrapped around the hilt of his Claymore. The metal weighed more somehow. He looked up to the sky. He wanted to see the peace in her eyes again, as one evening the moon shone bright in the water of a deep well, and he thought he saw her looking up at him.
Somewhere, not that far off, sleek feathers of raven wings were bent and still in a tree. A chill went through the Old Man’s faded bones. A shot of lightning pierced the sardonic air.
Had the Banshee called upon one of his loved ones to carry them away, he wondered. If the night was telling him his wife was no more, he refused to give in.
In the cave he heard the drip drip of cold water sliding down the part of the cave that grows down into spikes. He could sense that the first snow of the season was upon him. He needed to warm himself. At first, he attempted to call upon the memories of his wife. It did not work. He could not see her face. But they had a bond that could not be broken, so he built a fire.
To build a fire is a ritual that we all must do at least once in our lives, he thought, but the Old Man had built many fires and none of them had warmed him the way the fire at home had, many many years ago. There are some feelings that a fire may only offer once in a lifetime. The idea is to try and carry the feeling from that fire onto your next fire.
Then the Old Man went out hunting, but he needed to feel the creature calling him. He licked the tip of his finger, raised it up to the wind, felt the wind’s compass on his fingertip, pointing due North. The Old Man heard the wind whisper her name, but it could have been the trees. It didn’t matter — he set out in that direction. When he stepped forward, the fire dissipated behind him, and even the smoky incense from the fire followed him at first, wrapping around his body like a ghost shield, and then letting go of him, like a traveler’s blessing.
If you feel True North on your fingers, you must follow it, he said to himself. That is the direction of the Goddess of the Hunt, and either you will find what you are looking for, or else it will find you.

I'm personally having a great time playing FH again. Here's a clip from my first day back about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
If you took a break around when I did (Gryphon's bash and dash) then you do have some catching up to do. There are all new timings on all attacks, there are new heroes, and there are new moves for some old heroes as well. But after a few days, or weeks, you will start to get the hang of it again. I recommend going into to training and set the opponent to chain lights and start by trying to block them, then move onto parrying and deflects. Save your losses and rewatch them. Have fun.
What's changed for most of us (console, pretty good skills, pretty bad ping, half frames per second) is that now, more than ever, even if you have great reaction time, the game has balanced out in the way of reads and pattern recognition of your opponents strategy. Overall I gotta hand it to this dev team -- they've been through a LOT, but they kept making adjustments, and they continue to believe in this game. I got more fun from this game than any other. I took a break. Believe it or not, it's fun again.
The last prompt was to write a poem with someone you love. You can each write one line and give it to the other person to write the next, and do that a few times until you have something. Ot you could take turns writing a full stanza. You can write this with a sibling, a parent, a buddy, your wife, your boyfriend, etc. -- doesn't matter. It also doesn't matter how "good" it is, only that you have fun writing it together.

Feels good playing For Honor again after a long break. There have been lots of changes, and it will take some time getting used to fighting the new characters. A big thank you to everyone in this video who handed me L's teaching me the new heroes, new moves of old heroes, and new timing across the board. Surviving with Peacekeeper can be tough, especially for those who lack all the frames per second, have high ping, and are using the controller's default settings still (me in a nutshell). That said, if you are somewhat knowledgable about your opponent's kit, I believe Peacekeeper still has THE most lethal offense in the game. I hope this video highlights PK's agility, and that excitement she brings, when you know the round is over — before it actually is.

#ForHonorTrying New Things with Highlander After the CCU Update - For HonorOma Gosh2020-11-16 | — From Here to There — One day his mother said to him, “It’s time for you to go out there. Go across the field and ask the neighbor for some milk.” He looked up at his mother and saw that she was tired from washing clothes in a large wooden bucket, her hands raw from baking bread, working the farm, day in and day out. Her dress was torn and her hair was gray and it looked as though her eyes had sunk into purple crevices under her face. He looked out at the field and decided it would be a good day for a walk. On his way down the hill he looked at the sky and saw that is was full of clouds that had turned to a burnt umbra, the leaves on the trees swayed with the calm wind, the grass was bright, the air smelled like jasmine. Day turned to night and he continued to walk and the stars shone with the brightness of marigolds. He stopped to rest in a knoll and fell asleep.
When he woke in the morning he found that he was sitting at the bottom of a pond. “How did I get here?” He asked himself. He swam to the surface and found that he was breathing air, surrounded by lotus flowers. When he was upon dry land again, he continued across the field to the neighbor’s house. The house looked empty and a chill went through his body.
There was shade on the house, shade on the ground, the air was cold and damp. He knocked on the door and a little old man answered. The old man wore a red cap and his beard went to his toes. “What do you want?” the old man asked him. “I’m here for some milk for my mother,” he said to the little old man. “Alright,” and the old man handed him a pale of warm milk. “Thank you,” he said to the old man. “Wait a a minute.” the little old man said, “Aren’t you going to ask me how you found yourself in the bottom of a pond of lotus flowers this morning?” Oh, the boy shook his head, “Yes, how did I get there?” The old man laughed and took off his red cap and handed the boy a paintbrush with a set of incandescent paints and a pad of paper. “You walked there.” The old man said and laughed again handing the paintbrush and paints and paper over to the boy. And for the rest of his life, as the boy grew to a man and painted every day, he wondered, now and again, how he had gone from here to there. _________________________ *** If you're new here, this channel is largely inspired by the people who write in the comments. #ForHonorWisdom of the Ancients #3 [For Honor]Oma Gosh2020-11-06 | — No Breaking Point — There I was late at night listening to someone talk about W.B. Yeats’s poem “The Lake Isle of Innisfree” and I was thinking it was an OK talk, I’ll make a playlist for everyone and include it. I’ll make a few playlists. Make a music playlist everyone’s been waiting for. But at some point I thought about how I understood the poem in a way that this guy couldn’t explain, either. And before I knew it, I was transported, in my mind, back to a time before there were any innernets and I was an old man, and I knew there was a place for me, in her heart, I heard it always, like the low sounds of the lake water lapping, and I knew how fast thoughts traveled, and that some of them never stop, even if you want them to, and this was so great a feeling that I wanted to cry. What was funny: I laughed. And I laughed. And I laughed so hard that I cried.

#ForHonorNobushi Releases Honey Badger into the Wild (Prompt in Description)Oma Gosh2020-10-30 | — Released back into the wild — That’s what it was like some days. And how long can one hold out, the old man wondered. One goes out to look for food, if nothing else, greens and berries. That's how he felt when he came back from a town. Or maybe that's what it was like to stop talking. Released into the wild. To come back home, if home is always moving, but his thoughts, his thoughts lived in a hole in the mountain.

You can answer directly by giving an example, or just write a poem or story! ____________________ Warning: this is a SPOILER if you intend to play the game. Before the first update, I played the game on Lethal difficulty with no charms and no armor, so I was ready for this final fight. But I lost a lot. But I also won 3 times and restarted. Why?
Because I wanted a win based on changing my fighting stances and canceling attacks to bait Shimura, so I could experience this truly cinematic duel. The results show off the time SP put into this game's fighting mechanics. There were no set patterns to the order of his attacks (from what I could tell).
Sucker Punch is a good name for the creators.
Being wrapped up in the game's central questions of honor (questions that you are familiar with on this channel already), I chose not to revive during this fight. _________________ If you're new here, this channel is largely inspired by the people who write in the comments. Some say it happened overnight. Others claim it happened, almost at random, one day at the supermarket, in aisle 8. A child spilled the blueberries and strangers accidentally stepped on them and all over the linoleum was a color that was at once: blue, red and purple; but it was stronger, more lasting on the eye, than all of those other colors combined. And that same child pocketed a blueberry and on their way out of the store gave it to a hungry beggar in the parking lot, and there was no game recording a gift of charity, and somewhere else, far away, another legend was painting using crushed blueberries as ink.

If he had told this to another person they would say he was mad. A Father somewhere had said, “the old man is too old to die” but in this dance between the dream-world and the real-world, the old man had visions that he was from another country, born into a different time, wielding a thin, long sword that had been so carefully smithed that there were the shapes of waves crashing along its blade.
Then he was sitting inside a home that was all lit up with light caught in round glass, magical controlled lightning, and there was a very flat square in front of him and it was lit up with moving images and languages on it. His wife was in the room with him. She carried a flat lightning box and spoke into it and her voice invisibly traveled through the air to her loved ones. The old man suddenly knew he’d been here for some time. He didn’t say anything to his wife, so as not to alarm her. What was stranger than all of this was how very normal it seemed to be.
Trees live inside of all human beings, and every Autumn, when their leaves turn and fall away — this is a brief moment of immortality; the leaves say: “I may only be a tree but every year I only pretend to die.”
Or so the Old Man thought. _____________________________________________________

This is only a preview. My gameplay is: no revives, no charms, lethal difficulty, no armor (I just really like how they designed those Traveler Rags :) I wanted to test out the fighting mechanics and was impressed by how I could tweak the 4 stances to my liking, particularly wind. And I was impressed at how visually stunning the game is, too. Hope you enjoy the gameplay and the ongoing story. Sorry about that first dog; at least the second one knew to walk away. -O.G.You CAN Spam Wow and Good Fight with an Open HeartOma Gosh2020-10-09 | — REVIVED BY THE FALL — As for the Old Man, the same raven who’d followed him long ago was now following him again. Or maybe it was a different raven. She speaks through every raven, he thought.
A plague called the New Sick spread across the land, driving everyone into their homes. People who caught the New Sick complained, at first, of hard breathing. But as they grew sicker, they all began ranting about how everything was “new” — it was a “new world" we lived in, our lives were one “new thing" made by a “new being", a god “newer” than God. The afflicted also said there was a “new” thievery (not of goods but of thoughts), adding that "one’s thoughts were now one in the same with one’s deeds".
Some people warded off the New Sick with pomegranate seeds, onions dipped in vinegar, they drank holy water from ancient springs, tied knots out of rope made from holly and the leaves of Ash trees. They called on spirits and ghosts to guide them. They called for the alchemists and the midwives, they scoured the wilderness for the old witches who had lived in the caves of the backwoods, begging them to boil elixirs, with the promise of healing, in their cauldrons. Others made offerings of prayers and burned cedar in ditches which filled the villages with the odor of sweet incense. They called on the gods, the furies, the angels and the elders. The healthier ones carried the bodies of their dead loved ones away and tossed them into pits far from town. There was wailing and haunting. Some built walls to separate themselves. Some called the New Sick a blessing, a cleaning, while others fell into peril and cursed how The New Sick crept through every town and village like a blade cutting the reeds after Autumn Harvest.
It was rumored the Old Man had died, or grew sick, as he had disappeared for many months. How could he say these rumors were false? When the New Sick spread, trade routes were halted, roads abandoned, doors shut everywhere, and he almost believed he would never again see his wife's face.
Many considered him a great warrior on account of his skills with a Claymore, but no one knew the greater battle within. When it rained very hard, for instance, and the air grew loud, the Old Man couldn’t hear the rain at all but instead he heard the bards, from all times, speaking simultaneously, and he felt his wife was one of them. He tried to separate her voice from the rest by using his eyes. He studied fallen leaves, soil — even the air itself — for details that did not reflect voices, but in the evening there were crickets. He swore he was grave-footed at one point, and that's when he slipped down a bank into cold river water.
The fall revived him.
Now he reemerged from the woods and found a copper kettle in the road. He dusted it off and held it up to see the red-brown against the leaves that turned a similar color.
He laughed at the good luck of the kettle, just as he laughed at bad luck on other days. Without laughter you can get sick. He brought the kettle with him.
The raven followed and cawed and the Old Man said, “How can we be apart, my Love? There’s a thousand miles in every single drop of water. There’s the rain, and the river, the ocean, clouds. Kettle-held water…” And with that, his wife sent him a memory:
He recalled a moment from his youth when once he sat in the long hall with his mother and father, his brothers and sisters, all of them huddled in by the fire, protected from the cold outside. Winter approached and they kept their bones warm as they listened to the white bearded bard tell the tales of the goddess of war, bringer of famine, carrier of disease, gatherer of fortune, carrier of fate. The bards told them how the Raven chose, with her “dark ink wings”, who to bless and who to banish.
Such was how the Old Man got through most days, and this was a very good day, he decided.

Over gold, over land, over statues, over status, over fields of wheat and the fish in streams, over groups protecting an idea, over memories and the dead bodies of ancestors, over blind hate or eyes clear full of fear, and over all of this, the old man saw the still, quiet star-glassed dome casting itself farther and farther.
He had made his way to the road where he would soon find the caravan carrying his wife, he thought. In his mind he could begin to see events unfold. Throughout his life there were times when he’d been able to imagine something that was close to happening, and then it would actually play out just like that, almost exactly how he’d seen it before in his mind. When he was younger, especially at the river, it was as if you had to imagine the fish were there, under the surface of the water, in order to catch them. Yes, that was part of it. Sensing them swiftly through underwater pebbles. Seeing it happen like that. But he also knew you had to keep your sanity. You did not, for instance, think that you always made everything happen. That was delusional. That drove people to madness.
After all, there was so much suffering everywhere, so who had imagined it beforehand? Then he remembered the way his wife could make him laugh without talking. Then he remembered a poem she sang him, about a bird made of gold that turned into a real bird and flew away, only to return again to make a nest for its babies. And now the sunset in front of him was the same color as his wife's hair when they were young.
One could imagine all the horror in the world, but the beauty in the world was overwhelming as well. Can we imagine that good things will happen? Maybe, the old man thought, our imagination has more power in the way of beauty. And with that, he set up camp for the night. He knew the next weeks would be hard, and cold, but for a moment his mind was at peace. _______________________________________________
I make no claims to be good at this game. I know Highlander and Warlord pretty well, and so my videos try to show small things that can be done with them that maybe the viewer hasn't tried.
These days, in an average week, I only have a handful of hours to play games, if that. Again, I want to encourage all of you to really embrace the competitive scene, to learn how to play brawls as team fights, to try dominion and other team modes by learning the ins and outs of strategy, and for everyone to bridge the gap between competitive and casuals.
Also, take a break from gaming altogether and think about how you can expand your life. Open up your world with a good book if you get a chance. It can change your life.
Like I've said before, as this channel grows, it will surely change. _______________________________________________________________

Every time he doubted his step he could hear his wife’s voice, soft but clear, like the nearby branches in the wind. You will find me, she said, in every step you take.
And so the sun would rise and fall in accordance with the right direction. The old man encountered many more battles along the way. Always some warrior wished to test their skill against him.
Some pondered that the old man’s search was everyone’s search. There was a great discussion spreading across the lands. Villagers heard of his troubles. There was a Shaman at a gravesite who, instead of fighting the old man, ran in circles around him, to show him that even the spirit world believed in his search for his lost Love.
Experience taught the old man that when times are most dire, even the weakest among us can suddenly discover a courage and sense of dignity that they did not have before. It is when one does not have the time to be sad – that is when the human heart rises above what was possible back in sleepier days. To be able to carry that strength into our everyday lives, he thought. It is not a decision. It is a habit. Like the art of fighting, or the art of singing—it is a practice that comes with time.
Then the old man thought back to many years ago when his wife had told him she was with child. They had been enjoying how the smell of Honeysuckle blew through their home that summer. During a great storm that next year, his wife lost their child in labor — she had barely survived. They were never able to have children of their own after that, but one day she said to him, My Love, look at all the people around us, young and old. Are they not in great need, many of them? If we were to have a child, that child would one day grow up and we would have to set them free out into the wild. But everyone must walk this wilderness as they grow. They will all be our sons and daughters. That is what makes us the Elders. We must be there for all in their time of need. Much has changed in our land since you’ve been away. People speak of Honor as something that is won or kept in battle rather than as truth gained in the loyalty towards all humankind. We were attacked by a large raiding tribe. I defended our village as long as I could. Both our sons fought bravely but they are gone to the other world.
The enemy cut off our water supply in the North, slaughtered or stole our cattle. Our village was in a state of disarray when they finally invaded. When we were under siege, that was when we were at our weakest, I saw the blacksmith’s son kill his own brother over a sliver of beef and some salt. A few of our craftsmen were recruited by the enemy and turned against their kinsmen. They betrayed us and informed the enemy of our weaknesses. After the attack they killed or sold those of us who were not of use to them.
As I was able to speak some of their language, I told them I was wife to a chieftain and offered myself as ransom and translator, to save as many lives as possible. I believe your youngest sister is still alive, and she is with child, but we do not know who the father is.
Days after the raid, they asked me your name. They were seated in our very own chairs in the old hall, and I spoke your name out loud, then there was brief silence, they argued amongst themselves. Nine days later a hundred or so men left to settle elsewhere. The rest ventured West, to settle or sail, and I was taken along with them. They do not understand their horses, and so they travel slowly, we have been traveling over 15 days, as I write this we have just crossed the Cold Mountains. I see no ocean to the west, the sky merely moves into the gray. I do not know how long I’ll live, but I will try to live as long as I can. Somehow I have kept my sense of honor. I remember life with you in the summer fields and the sunlight there on the blades of the leaves. You must remember those times to me if we see each other again. When Your Opponent Rage-Quits & You Go the Round AloneOma Gosh2019-08-19 | Some time ago I found myself alone in the middle of a duel. If you watch the video more than once (& I hope you do because the poem gives more the more you hear it) you might see the words I included in the video make a poem within the poem :) _______________________________________________________________

Poem: "My Father, In Heaven, Is Reading Out Loud" (Li-Young Lee) Song: "Lost" (Takahashi)once blinded by blood (feat. Hound of Tara) [For Honor]Oma Gosh2019-08-05 | "MESSENGER BECOMES MESSAGE" – By the time she reached the Old Man his mind had long been in a frenzy, his flesh hung on his skeleton as though he hadn’t eaten in days, and his eyes were serpent tongues. Despite being battered by age he was strong as oak and stuck in a sick trance for battle. The hooded messenger had no choice but to defend herself. She never committed her dagger to critical points in the Old Man's body, and the fight left them both unconscious.
She woke first and having been trained in medicine by her father she went to the Old Man, knelt down and felt his pulse. He breathed heavily. But his breath was slow and ragged. She took out a pouch and opened an elixir – a secret family recipe handed down to her by her father. She opened his lips and poured the elixir down his throat to stimulate blood flow and oxygen. He slept for a while.
When he woke up his vision was blurry but he saw a fire had been made and he smelled food cooking. There was a near-full bladder of clean water beside him. The small woman wearing the hood, whom he’d fought moments before, sat by the fire, slowly turning a skinned rabbit in the flames using a branch.
The Old Man’s first instinct was to grab his sword but he was overcome by a strange sense of calm. He saw she had left his Claymore right by his side. He saw she was unarmed. The hooded woman exuded peace.
She got up and walked to him and handed over the rabbit. The Old Man took it and ate. She then spoke to him in broken Scots-Gaelic. “First,” she said, “you listen. Yours is not my native language. Please listen to my words. Eat more. Drink water. Rest. I am not your enemy. I cleaned blood from your eyes. Soon, the water will turn to ice, and the cold will set in. I must be on my way. You will never see me again. If you ever see someone who looks like me, you will know they are not me. I traveled a long way to bring you a message from a woman – a wise elder – who was captured heading north on a road 200 miles east of this mountain range. I saw her over a year ago. I have been searching for you for a long time.” And with that she unrolled the parchment and handed it to the Old Man.
There he saw the language of his people, written in a familiar hand. When he looked up to question the hooded woman further there was no moon. Smoke blew around him. Owls in the nearby trees were quiet. And the dried blood did not sting his eyes at all as he sat in silence reading the words his wife had written to him. ___________________________________________________________ I know the showdown with the old man is not the best PK footage ever (its was my second day of using her - hence she still had the mask at that time). Even though I didn't know PK's moveset, or max-punishes at the time I still think the fight was good for the story and I hope you feel the same way. _________________________ Also, go leave a message on Hound of Tara's channel and sub if you haven't already: youtube.com/channel/UCdKIsRQspULuWQpIKYmN9Rg _____________________________________________ Hit the notification bell if you’d like to know when the next one arrives. Not only was this opponent a great sport - it was a really fun fight. I never knew the old man looked so intimidating, and after having to face him, I realized that this mirror match was a crucial part of the Old Man's Story. I hope you enjoy it. ____________________________________________ In the comments: They say that the eyes are the windows of the soul. Pulled together at its source Godward, Every drop is separate by the time it slides Through structures, down into the puddles. The rain will stop the rain; the flood will end the flood when we grow sick of being so apart. The sailor in the sky is drunk and staggers, Drops lightning through the cloudy floor upside-down sharp and bright branches - a many-rooted tree with heads-or-tails chances in the gambling eyes of our kin.
The old woman, far away from her husband, thought How water falls from the sky and breaks Flower petals. Far above hawks call To one another in the deep deep Hidden night. A bolt of lightning sets fire To the prairie and wild horses scatter With the sound of wind chasing free. A wide moon casts a yellow glow over A deep lake hidden beneath a mountain. Rest is found after the rapids of the rivers Have subdued. All that remains are remnants of wildness reflected In clear midnight puddles over the land. ___________________________________________________

There were moments he felt granted a taste of immortality. True love is a form of immortality, he thought. And right now, to be dreamed by another far away, he thought. In the meantime warriors tested him with their skill, but the greatest warriors disarm opponents without a weapon. That we might make an enemy see the common aim in all our lives, to inspire a sick mind to become well - this was worth more than raw gold. Some even maintained that this idea was in the elements that form gold, and that is why alchemists have never been able to reproduce it. If it is all a dream, then why has gold fallen out of the sky? How is it found tucked into soil or in running water? _______________________________________________________
I just want to say that the second fight in this video was one of the better teams I've fought against recently - they won the previous fight btw - so I'd like to thank them for such a truly fun, crazy match. Their ganks were well-timed. They talked trash all in good fun. It made it more fun. They could brawl. It was a blast. (That scrap on the stairs with the Nobu was clearly two rep 70s goin' at it.) ________________________________________________________________ If you're new here, this channel is largely inspired by the people who write in the comments. To the trolls: you'll get banned from the channel if you insult someone's art. You can say what you like about me, but consider this: think of all the bad content on the internet - the gross, the mean, the virulently hyper-political BS, the shock-value creators and commenters, imagine all of the places you could direct your venom, and realize that you are directing it at people who are writing poems and stories (often about their lives that already not that easy, judging by what many have written here). You want to go after these people? That's all I'll say about that for now. (But it's a bark with banning teeth behind it.)

O, for a draught of vintage! that hath been Cool'd a long age in the deep-delved earth, Tasting of Flora and the country green, Dance, and Provençal song, and sunburnt mirth! O for a beaker full of the warm South, Full of the true, the blushful Hippocrene, With beaded bubbles winking at the brim, And purple-stained mouth; That I might drink, and leave the world unseen, And with thee fade away into the forest dim:
Fade far away, dissolve, and quite forget What thou among the leaves hast never known, The weariness, the fever, and the fret Here, where men sit and hear each other groan; Where palsy shakes a few, sad, last gray hairs, Where youth grows pale, and spectre-thin, and dies; Where but to think is to be full of sorrow And leaden-eyed despairs, Where Beauty cannot keep her lustrous eyes, Or new Love pine at them beyond to-morrow.
Away! away! for I will fly to thee, Not charioted by Bacchus and his pards, But on the viewless wings of Poesy, Though the dull brain perplexes and retards: Already with thee! tender is the night, And haply the Queen-Moon is on her throne, Cluster'd around by all her starry Fays; But here there is no light, Save what from heaven is with the breezes blown Through verdurous glooms and winding mossy ways.
I cannot see what flowers are at my feet, Nor what soft incense hangs upon the boughs, But, in embalmed darkness, guess each sweet Wherewith the seasonable month endows The grass, the thicket, and the fruit-tree wild; White hawthorn, and the pastoral eglantine; Fast fading violets cover'd up in leaves; And mid-May's eldest child, The coming musk-rose, full of dewy wine, The murmurous haunt of flies on summer eves.
Darkling I listen; and, for many a time I have been half in love with easeful Death, Call'd him soft names in many a mused rhyme, To take into the air my quiet breath; Now more than ever seems it rich to die, To cease upon the midnight with no pain, While thou art pouring forth thy soul abroad In such an ecstasy! Still wouldst thou sing, and I have ears in vain— To thy high requiem become a sod.
Thou wast not born for death, immortal Bird! No hungry generations tread thee down; The voice I hear this passing night was heard In ancient days by emperor and clown: Perhaps the self-same song that found a path Through the sad heart of Ruth, when, sick for home, She stood in tears amid the alien corn; The same that oft-times hath Charm'd magic casements, opening on the foam Of perilous seas, in faery lands forlorn.
Forlorn! the very word is like a bell To toll me back from thee to my sole self! Adieu! the fancy cannot cheat so well As she is fam'd to do, deceiving elf. Adieu! adieu! thy plaintive anthem fades Past the near meadows, over the still stream, Up the hill-side; and now 'tis buried deep In the next valley-glades: Was it a vision, or a waking dream? Fled is that music:—Do I wake or sleep?

Will I feel beneath my feet the cushion of the welcome as I step forward? Maybe writing is my way to slow down time so I can throw time, like the Milky Way – across a page, or screen. My DNA says I’m 100% star. I might get some Chromium yet out of a single moment, just as blues and greens, in my wife’s eyes, also form in wood when it’s petrified underground along with carbon and oxides of iron. Once upon a time that petrified wood stored sunlight, before it turned into a stone that blossomed colors of a bursting galaxy. Look it up if you don’t believe me. If you don't believe me, try burying these words in your heart. ________________________________________________________ If you're new here, this channel is largely inspired by the people who write in the comments.
