Island Scrapper 2024-05-05 | "Happy Birthday" 12"x12" scrapbook layout of my own design documenting a pub lunch on my birthday when the staff stuck a candle in my slice of cake and sang Happy Birthday to me!

Bella Bvld Birthday Bash "Best Age Ever" patterned paper forms the base of the layout with two 6"x8" Elle's Studio candle patterned papers creating a base for the photos. A tag cut apart with candle die cut for journalling.

Two 3"x4" photos placed quite centrally placed on the page.

Title created using coloured foam tile alpha stickers with a secondary title created using a Bramble Fox perspective.

A Bramble Fox camera, chipboard camera and two flairs from my stash as scattered embellishing. Musical note die cut piece alongside the title. A glitter dome added to the tag.

A black Uniball fine gel pen for journalling.

Island Scrapper 2024-02-25 | "Heart Eyes" 12"x24" scrapbook layout of my own design documenting Elvis the donkey who resides at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.

A top left to bottom right design with four 4"x6" portrait photos spread centrally across both pages.

American Crafts White textured cardstock forms the base of the layout with the pattern being created using heart stamps/stencil in Silver Metallic pigment ink.

Three doilies and a tag set with eyelet and twine. A piece of white cardstock layered for journalling. All edges inked in Silver.

Island Scrapper 2024-02-10 | "Hello Elvis" 12"x12" scrapbook layout of my own design documenting Elvis the donkey who resides at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary where I am a volunteer.

Patterned paper from my stash mounted onto American Crafts Green textured cardstock forms the base of the layout.

One 4"×6" portrait photo mounted onto Silver mirror card in a central vertical design.

Title part created using a wood piece painted using Mica watercolour paint and part American Crafts Thickers Beach.

Glittered washi tapes as a base for the tags both set with eyelets and twine. Twine added along the edges of the patterned paper for design and texture. Wood hearts, wood horseshoe and sequins as scattered embellishing.

A black Uniball fine gel pen for journalling . Stampin Up stamps.

Island Scrapper 2024-02-09 | The House of Scrap needs a do-over! It's time to take a look at my filing system and shake things up a bit!!

When I first started creating 12"x12" layouts back in 2010, I don't think I could possibly have imagined how important this hobby would become to me!! I lost count at 500 layouts!!

I've always filed layouts chronologically by date order of creation. However, now there are so many, I think it's time to store by theme!!

I have 50 D-ring albums some of which are empty and some of which aren't being properly utilised.

Why not join me on this trip down memory lane and help me get The House of Scrap back in order!

I shall be fixing layouts along the way, maybe letting a few go, too!

Island Scrapper 2024-02-04 | "Happy" 12"x12" scrapbook layout of my own design documenting me and some of the things I enjoy doing whilst wearing my new Elvis hoodie!

Challenge 15 "My Way" as part of the Online Elvis Crop over at My Little Scrapbook Store this weekend. This challenge is to scrapbook me, which is something I always love to do!

Two 4"x4" photos mounted onto white textured cardstock and inked with Silver Metallic pigment ink.

American Crafts grey textured cardstock forms the base of the layout with added strips of patterned paper and washi tape.

Three tags set with eyelets and Gold thread placed across the page.

Lots of stamping using Ranger inks and a variety of stamps including Simon Hurley, Tim Holtz and Simple Stories.

Title created using a wood piece painted with a yellow mica watercolour paint.

Glitter domes and faceted gems as scattered embellishing.

A black Uniball fine gel pen for journalling.

Island Scrapper 2024-02-03 | "Contemplate" 12"x12" scrapbook layout of my own design documenting Elvis the donkey who resides at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary where I am a volunteer.

I am following Challenge 19 "Blue Suede Shoes" as part of the Online Elvis Crop over at My Little Scrapbook Store this weekend. This challenge is to use Blue as the primary colour on your project.

One 4"x6" photo of Elvis placed to the bottom right of the layout and layered with tracing paper and patterned paper from my stash.

Bazzill Basics Admiral cardstock forms the base of the layout.

Title created using Simple Stories Color Vibe foam alphas in Navy.

A Vicki Boutin Print Shop banner clip layered over a trimmed tag fills the top left corner. The leftover tag piece used as placement for the date alongside the photo. An eyelet set into the tag with baker's twine for added texture.

Wood, button & gems stars and dots as scattered embellishing. A wood house and chipboard phrase piece for added interest.

A blue Uniball fine gel pen for journalling. Ranger archival ink in Cobalt.
