My friend @DownieLive and I spent 46 hours on the Amtrak Empire Builder in Business Class from Chicago to Seattle. On this route, we crossed 7 states and were able to see much of the northern part of the United States. Traveling by train in the United States is enjoyable and you get to see more of the hidden gems of this great country vs. flying.
