45 White Oak was designed without a client at the table, which created a rare opportunity to imagine how a home could support many different ways of living. The result is an architectural study in space, material, atmosphere, and how a modern home can still feel connected to its place.

Brick shingles, plaster, white oak, Vermont marble, and expansive glass form a limited material palette that is pushed in many different directions throughout the home. From the triple height dining room and nine foot skylight to custom millwork and carefully sourced wood, every decision was about letting the materials speak for themselves while pushing the architecture and craftsmanship further than usual.
