48771, an LMS Stanier Class 5 4-6-0, passes over Sankey Viaduct, known locally as "The Nine Arches" just outside of Newton-Le-Willows in the North West of England.
The viaduct itself was constructed in 1828 by George Stephenson and is a Grade 1 listed structure still in service as part of the Liverpool to Manchester railway which opened in 1830.
It is the oldest railway viaduct in service anywhere in the world.
The locomotive was built in 1945 and was withdrawn from mainline service in 1968.
