This is sort of a new way of doing top clip, that i think might have some potential for getting lightning 4-2 segmented. Before i explain stuff, I just want to say that i don't think the inputs in this video are perfectly ideal for the best rta set up, but the main purpose of this video is to show potential for a way of doing top clip that i don't think has been looked into that much yet.
The main difference between this set up and other top clip set ups is how mario slows down before the clip. Other set ups involve pressing left, jumping, and releasing left at a certain point mid way through the jump, and then shortly after, pressing right again to speed back up. This set up presses left on the ground much earlier, lets go of left, then jumps to keep that speed. after that, the rest is the same as any other set up: press right at a certain point right before the clip to speed up, then press left to clip in, and do everything else in the level too (jump out of the wall with xpos 132, do the fast pipe entry, and a good warp zone). This set up is slower than other set ups by a couple frames, so does require a fast accel in warp zone. However, I purposefully didnt optimize the pipe entry perfectly. If everything here was done more perfectly, this would have 1 or 2 frames to spare, i just didnt feel like some of that was realistic for rta.
I think this type of set up is much better for segmented, since you have less frames to spare than other set ups, and stuff like fast accel is required.

Weird vertical screen wrap I accidentally discovered. I know you can screen wrap using elevators in levels such as SMB1 1-2, but that uses a different type of elevator, and you go from the top of the screen to the bottom. I have never seen any vertical screen wrap done where you go from the bottom of the screen to the top. Its also strange how the elevator that fell down below the ground spawns again back up top of the level. The elevator is actually at the very top of the screen for 1 frame after screen wrapping, then it snaps into place at the highest point it can be at. Also, there is a 1 frame window where Mario can jump, but he jumps from where he spawns way up above the top of the screen, which is why he is gone for so long and then falls down on the left side of the screen. Lots of very strange stuff happening here that I have never heard about or seen")
